• Schoenbar Road - The FLOWING WATERS WILDERNESS site is perfect for capturing stunning photos. As you journey from one location to another, you’ll learn about the local culture, history, economy, and lifestyles.
• Totem Heritage Center - This site features totems, native carvings, informative kiosks, ancient poles, and the chance to hear the legend of Fog Woman. As you move from site to site, you’ll hear stories and information about the local culture, history, economy, and lifestyles.
• Ketchikan Harbor - Discover boats, eagles, whales, salmon, harbor seals, totems, and breathtaking panoramas. Our tours cover a set route of 7 or 8 different locations, each offering unique photo and learning opportunities. While most photography instruction is applicable to both cell phones, point-and-shoots, and DSLR cameras, some guidance is specifically for DSLR users.
  Photography techniques taught for both DSLR and cell phones/point-and-shoots include: composition, subject identity, subject proximity, subject balance, exposure, cropping, angle of approach, light compensation, and macro photography.

Photography techniques specific to DSLR (and some point-and-shoots) include: depth of field, F-stop settings, aperture, ISO settings, exposure triangle, and shutter speeds. We always allocate time for questions (maximum group size is 9), so if you have specific inquiries about your DSLR camera, please feel free to ask. • Ward Cove - In the Ward Cove area, we stop at the Green Bean Coffee Company to enjoy gourmet coffee and cookies. As you travel from site to site, you’ll hear stories and information about the local culture, history, economy, and lifestyles.

• Potlatch Totem Park - This site offers a range of attractions, including a totem carving building, a traditional Native Clan House, a dugout canoe, a gift shop, antique cars, and a Russian Museum. As you explore, you’ll hear stories and information about the local culture, history, economy, and lifestyles. Enjoy your freshly roasted coffee and gourmet cookie at this site.

• Ketchikan - OCEAN PANORAMA SITE: From this location, you can count ten islands and enjoy views of an Alaskan float plane dock, The Cleaveland Peninsula Wilderness Area, and Prince of Wales Island. As you travel from site to site, you’ll hear stories and information about the local culture, history, economy, and lifestyles.

• Ketchikan - Upon reentering the Port of Ketchikan, you can choose to be dropped off at your cruise ship or at a shopping/dining location of your choice. As you move from site to site, you’ll hear stories and information about the local culture, history, economy, and lifestyles. Please consider leaving a gratuity that reflects the high level of service you have received. All Ward Cove passengers can be returned to Ward Cove or dropped off at a shopping/dining location of your choice.
