Ketchikan Harbor - Discover boats, eagles, whales, salmon, harbor seals, totems, and breathtaking panoramas. Our tours cover a set route of 7 or 8 different locations, each offering unique photo and learning opportunities. While most photography instruction is applicable to both cell phones, point-and-shoots, and DSLR cameras, some guidance is specifically for DSLR users.
Photography techniques taught for both DSLR and cell phones/point-and-shoots include: composition, subject identity, subject proximity, subject balance, exposure, cropping, angle of approach, light compensation, and macro photography.
Photography techniques specific to DSLR (and some point-and-shoots) include: depth of field, F-stop settings, aperture, ISO settings, exposure triangle, and shutter speeds. We always allocate time for questions (maximum group size is 9), so if you have specific inquiries about your DSLR camera, please feel free to ask.
