Superb experience! - Landon was excellent, put us on the fish, spotted wildlife, and shared a wealth of knowledge about the area. Camp was great and the prepared meal was amazing! Highly recommend Landon and Baranof.

Best Excursion of Our Trip to Alaska! - This excursion with Troy from Baranof was absolutely the best experience we had on our trip! We were a family of 5, including a five year old, her parents and grandparents. Troy figured out in seconds that making the five year old happy was his number one priority. He took us to his "guaranteed to catch a fish" spot, and sure enough, she caught the first fish! We then moved around the ocean until we each caught a fish, albeit with the assistance of the five year old who now believed that she was the boat captain. The dinner on the island, with Troy doing everything from cleaning our fish, to serving us a truly restaurant quality fish dish, was better than we could have imagined. The experience brought us back to summer camp memories, sitting around a wood fire in the Adirondaks, except we were only eating hot dogs then! Don't miss this tour! And be sure to request Troy, who is a kind, knowledgeable and sweet man.

The Dungeness Crabbing & Fishing Tour is All Time! - We opted to do the Dungeness Crabbing & Fishing private excursion through our Silver Seas cruise, and it was one of our favorite adventures of the trip! With Dave D. as our captain, he ensured that every minute was both fun-filled and informative. We really enjoyed our time spent with him and the excellent sous chef, Meghan. You can tell that they both are very passionate about what they do, and are masters of their respective crafts. On the trip, we scored so many Rockfish and Dungeness Crabs - and they were DELICIOUS! It’s so much more than just a fishing trip because you go to a rustic, remote camp spot and they make a spectacular camp meal out of what you just caught. Could there be anything better or fresher?! This trip was the highlight of our stop in Ketchikan. I highly recommend it! Oh, and when you’re back in the harbor afterwards, go check out Creek Street as it’s: 1) located nearby, 2) a great way to stroll off your meal, and 3) has both colorful character and a colorful past.

A great experience where you get to handle your own pole, catch fish, and taken to a island that is covered by a giant t - We had a great time fishing out on the waters of Alaska. We caught fish we enjoyed everyone’s company. Our captain by the name of Raven was excellent. Once finished fishing, we headed to camp that was on an island. Our catch was cleaned, prepared for us. There was coffee, a Kool-Aid type of drink and water to drink. There was even apple crisp for dessert. Once we were finished, we headed back to the cruise terminal where we caught our ship in plenty of time to continue our journey back home

Excellent fishing trip and wonderful fish bake of what we caught, Rockfish! - It exceeded our expectations and was the best excursion on our 3 port cruise! They saved the best for last! We both caught rockfish and halibut, but couldn't keep the halibut.

A trip to the Real Alask away from the cruise ship - CPT David and his mate, Jonah, made this fishing trip. After being on the cruise ship with thousands of people, he took us , 5 of us, out and away from everyone and everything. It was a trip to the real Alaska nature. We caught fish, cooked them on a beautiful fish camp, and enjoyed fellowship with all in our boat, thanks to David's approach, have fun and take in the wonders around us. Then the Ocras came by, what a bonus. Thank you David and Jonah for a wonderful day.

You MUST do this adventure! - This is a wonderful Excursion! With our Awesome Captain Landon we caught multiple species of fish and a King Salmon which was amazing and we even had an eagle fly over the boat. You head over to a private camp site where Trevor tends the fire and kettle camp coffee, along with hot chocolate. Your fish get filleted and Meghan prepares the best fish dish you may have ever ate, it was for me. She even shared her recipe! Make sure you ask for a covered boat and for Cpt. Landon. This Team is super friendly and fun, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing crab and fishing experience - This tour was amazing! From setting our crab pots to catching fish, everything about this tour was so much fun. Landon was a first class guide who was that rare combination of knowledgeable, personable and patient. He took the time to ensure we were comfortable, had a good time, yet emphasized safety at all times. All four of us caught fish and participated in the experience and walked away with more crab than we could eat! I highly recommend any tour by this group.

The experience is one that well always remember, especially to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary - Landon was an amazing guide and would recommend him to anyone visiting Ketchican. He was informative about the different species of fish.

Frustrated - wasn’t what we paid for - Lunch was great at a really cool camp spot but fishing was nothing close to what we signed up for. We paid to fish for Salmon, Halibut and Dungeness crab. We fished for none of these species. Instead we caught about 6 Rockfish and headed to lunch spot. I thought after lunch we would swap from rockfishing small fish to trolling for salmon or trying to catch halibut. Very confused and disappointed. I don’t know if this was just mis-advertised or the guide misunderstood which fish we were looking for. Good weather and scenery but 400 is a steep price for the type of fishing we did.
