• Tongass National Forest - During the scenic coastal drive to the Rainforest trailhead, the guide will share insights into the local history and folklore of Ketchikan.

Visitors will explore the lush Alaskan rainforest, with towering trees and a forest floor blanketed in moss. This trail is located in the Tongass National Forest, the largest national forest in the country. A local guide will lead the way through the easy nature trail, highlighting indigenous trees and plants. Guests will learn how these abundant resources were essential to the Alaska Native people. This off-the-beaten-path excursion includes a stop at a picturesque waterfall viewing area, complete with a bench for a brief rest. The total walking time on the trail is approximately 40 minutes.
