Situated 300 meters above sea level, it boasts a height difference of 305 meters. The upper cave stretches 2,130 meters and is rich with various crystallized formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, columns, mushrooms, ponds, curtains, and draperies. The lower gallery, 60 meters beneath the upper, extends 6,200 meters and features a serene underwater river and lake.
• Byblos - Byblos is one of the most ancient Phoenician cities, continuously inhabited since Neolithic times. It has been intricately connected to the legends and history of the Mediterranean for millennia and is notably linked to the development and spread of the Phoenician alphabet.
• Byblos Castle - Byblos Castle is a beautifully restored 12th-century Crusader castle, encircled by a 10-meter-wide dry moat. It is located within Byblos’ captivating archaeological site, which includes the ruins of the Temple of Baalat Gebal and the Temple of the Obelisks. The castle offers a stunning view of the ruins from its four-sided keep, with Bronze Age dwellings visible below as you gaze towards the sea. Inside, there is a small museum and a room with informative panels detailing the city’s history.
