This touring company shaped my experience in Kenya and made it perfect - As an avid traveler, Perfect Wilderness is the best touring company I’ve experienced. Once I booked the tour for the national park, elephant orphanage, giraffe center and kazuri beads, I contacted the owner, George, to see if the orphanage was still closed. Firstly, he was very responsive and so nice. He asked me what other plans I had and told me that Maasai Mara was a must see. I told him my itinerary for my trip to Kenya and he managed to create the perfect itinerary for my whole trip that would allow me and my friend to go to Maasai Mara for at least one night. He also organized a pick up for me at the airport with the guide that would take us to Maasi Mara so that we can get to know him before our trip and he could give us a rundown of how our tour will go. Our tour guide, Sammy, will forever be family to us after this trip. We had such a great time with him! He was funny, patient, flexible, knowledgeable, and made sure we felt comfortable at all times. Words cannot adequately express how much we appreciate Sammy’s hospitality on this trip. Our experience with Sammy will always be a memorable one and we already miss him dearly. Our game drive was also a perfect one. We managed to see 3 out of the big 5 on just our first day. We were so lucky to see a pride of lions up close, as well as buffalos and elephants. On the second day, Sammy made it his mission for us to see a leopard and we did! We were so happy! The lodging we stayed at, Jambo Mara, was also great and well organized. George gave us 3 options for lodges that were budget, comfort, or luxury. If you are looking for tours while in Kenya, please choose this company. They have an array of tours and they are dedicated to ensuring that your trip is a great one.

Perfect Safari Experience :) - Sorry for the long review but I want to explain this extraordinary experience a bit in detail. I am an airline pilot and flew to Nairobi. I had 2 days before I fly back to my base, so I had to act quickly and find the best option to have a safari in Masai Mara and visit Masai tribe. This option was the best one considering my limited time. After reading the reviews of Perfect Wilderness Safari, I gave them a call and we organized the trip. They took us from the hotel at 7:00am. We were at the Masai Mara gate at 1:30pm and started safari directly. We headed to the lodge near the park at 6:30pm. We covered a big area in the park and could see the 3 out of big 5 although it was January, the grass was tall and most of the animals migrated to Serengeti. Next morning we had another game drive in the park from 6:30 am to 9:00am. We again saw many types of animals including a female lion searching for a hunt, a very big pack of hyenas and some big vultures. Then we visited Masai tribe, spent an hour there and headed back to Nairobi. We arrived at Nairobi around 4:30pm. It was really a great experience and our guide was perfect. The lodge we stayed in was very nice. We mainly had the same experience with 3-day-tours because I think the third day is only for return trip to Nairobi for those tours. If you have limited time, this tour is perfect. I would prefer this tour even if I had time and I would visit Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha on the third day to see flamingos and hippos. Amazing Trip with Perfect Wilderness - The adventure started from Nairobi within 6 hours travel to Masai. We gave two breaks for smoke and lunch. The places where we gave breaks were so fantastic. When we arrived to Masai Mara directly started to game driving in National reserve with friendly driver Nathan. Thanks to him for explanations and support and his organization. The hotel was so fancy, dinner and breakfast were perfect. The most beautiful thing for the hotel was view. You can see and hear the animals through this view:) In the second day, We completed finding BIG FIVE. On my return way to Nairobi, the driver Tony also so helpful, we saw cheetahs who were eating which was incredible. I can advise the people that they have to go to Masai Mara and through Perfect Wilderness.

9 days private customized tour in Nairobi, Masai Mara, Naivasha, and Ol Pejeta - We engaged Perfect Wilderness after comparing with a few other tour operators. Joel and Beatrice are always very quick in responding to emails and straight to point- in total we had 40+ email exchanges for our customized honeymoon tour and they never delayed in replying to our emails. We appreciated very much their proactiveness and fairness in price and decided to put down a deposit to go with them. Our 9 days safari tour consisted of a day trip of Nairobi National Park, David Sheldrick, Giraffe Centre, 4D3N Masai Mara, and 4D3N of Lake Naivasha and Ol Pejeta. Joel came to pick us up on Day 1 and since then it has been a wonderful 9 days safari experience. Joel has a great personality and throughout our trip we got to know each other more, and had so much fun all along the trip. He’s also a very good spotter and managed to spot a few kills and 4 out of the Big 5. Due to the rainy season in Masai Mara, “the beast” (that’s the nickname of our safari van LOL) got trapped in the mud 2 times, and we joked that if “the beast” got trapped 1 more time and we’d have to send Joel back to Safari driving school, but he has outdone himself since then, and we even managed to pass through some areas where the 4x4 were stuck. Honestly for anyone going on safari, your vehicle is likely to get stuck but the response time is truly fantastic. We are hoping to come back for another Safari to spot the last big 5, and we will definitely engage Perfect Wilderness again!

Maasai Mara - We had a wonderful time on our trip. Got stuck in the mud several times and had a vehicle break down (quickly and professionally resolved), which only added to the adventure and stories we now have. Chris Mutinda was a great driver/guide (if he could only avoid those big mud holes! LOL). He was courteous, knowledgable and good with our four year old on board. Saw and photographed MANY different types of animals including elusive leopards, cheetahs and lions. Lodging conditions at the Lenchada Tent Camp were quite spartan, but for only two nights OK and in line with the price paid.
