Lake Nakuru - The journey begins from the international airport or your hotel in Nairobi city, followed by a road trip to Lake Nakuru National Park. This lake is famous as a bird sanctuary, hosting over 400 bird species. At times, it can accommodate up to two million greater and lesser flamingos, along with tens of thousands of other birds, earning it the nickname ‘Birds Paradise’. It also serves as a rhino sanctuary with exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. Game viewing commences as soon as you enter the park gates, with arrival at the lodge scheduled in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive is planned, departing at 16:00 hrs. The park’s landscape features marshes, grasslands interspersed with rocky cliffs and outcrops, stretches of acacia woodland, and rocky hillsides adorned with a Euphorbia forest on the eastern edge. Large animals thrive in the dry areas surrounding the lake, such as the endangered Rothschild giraffe, cape leopard, and various primate species can also be observed.
Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport - After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and travel by road back to Nairobi, with game viewing along the way as you exit the park. Upon reaching the city, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international outbound flight home or back to your city hotel.
