Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Mara River - Day 1: Journey from Nairobi to Maasai Mara.
After breakfast, the operator will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel between 7 AM and 8 AM. Depart for the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Arrive in Maasai Mara in the late afternoon or early evening and proceed for a game drive. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

FULL DAY MAASAI MARA

Masai Mara National Reserve - Breakfast is served at 6 AM.
Depart after breakfast.
Spend the entire day exploring the Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. Enjoy picnic lunches in the Reserve under a croton shade tree while taking in the beauty of the Mara. This day includes game drives all the way to the Mara River, where many resident hippos and crocodiles can be seen along the banks.

Optional: In the evening, visit the local Maasai village for a cultural tour at USD 20 per person.

A balloon safari at USD 380 per person (optional) can be arranged early in the morning, followed by the regular program. The Mara is renowned for the spectacular natural event of the great migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate annually from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following them are the savanna predators – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.

Masai Mara to Nakuru

Lake Naivasha - Enjoy breakfast.
Then, begin the drive to Nakuru.
There is an optional stop at Lake Naivasha, which is en route to Nakuru.
Upon arrival, spend the night at the Mat Fam Resort or a similar lodge and have dinner there.

Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

Lake Nakuru - Have an early breakfast and depart by 7 AM directly to the park. This small park is home to magnificent, rare white rhinos, part of the Big Five. There is also a chance to see the pink flamingos.
The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you embark on a 3-hour drive back to Nairobi, arriving around 3 PM.
A simple complimentary snack lunch will be provided at a traveler’s motel along the way.
You will be dropped off at your hotel or residence within Nairobi CBD.
