AMAZING SAFARI FOR OUR HONEYMOON - We booked our Safari with Explorers Wild Adventures and what a nice surprise! Nothing is left to chance, activities, accommodation (which are wonderful and very well placed), benevolence. The price is really very reasonable knowing everything included in it!! We especially wanted to thank our guide Boniface who is a wonderful person, who took care of us throughout our 6 day safari, he is very kind and did everything for us to see the BIG FIVE!! Rare to come across such beautiful people it makes sense to put it forward, we will come back for sure. A safari entirely successful thanks to you, a thousand thanks!!

All the score to Richard - Reservation made (paid etc. entrance fees to the parks) more than 8 months in advance with a great desire to see / photograph animals in their natural habitat. Given the need for additional payment I contacted the tour operator a week before, asking for the exact amount (note that admission is valid 24 hours) and the mode (cash or even electronic payments). They calmly reply a few days later, advising me cash for additional fees on the card and without exact numbers. Less than 24 hours before the start I am contacted by e-mail by representative of the tour operator apologizing that since OCTOBER 2025 (we are January 2026 !!!) taxes have increased and that at the beginning of the safari I should pay $460 per person ($920 in cash) if I want to leave. Angry, I responded by calling him slightly competent and negligent. The operator strongly advised me to “cancel the reservation and take my refund”. Fortunately, there are ATMs in Nairobi that allow you to withdraw US dollars ($) in addition to the local currency (KES). The safari was saved thanks to our guide Richard – tireless, shy, very kind person, available to meet our every request (in the group there were 4 Italians). Richard gave us the chance to see animals so that not all guides could do, showing respect for the dignity of every wild animal (unlike many of his colleagues). Thanks to him we had already completed the BIG 5 on the 2nd day. Indescribable and unrepeatable emotions. The program includes 2 days at Maasai Mara national reserve (from the 1st day paid full safari is about 3 hours before the park closes), 1 day at Lake Nakuru national park (actually are no more than 4 hours before the trip to Amboseli and 1 day in the park with Kilimanjaro view with return for a few hours on the last morning (before the return to Nairobi). The safari days start with breakfast at 6.00 am and end for dinner (after 12 hours of observation and research). The program included in addition to safaris also endless journeys to move from one park to another. To keep in mind that Kenya is crossed by a few state roads (one lane in each direction) syper-laden with heavy goods vehicles since trucks are the only transport for goods. The first day 254 km from Nairobi to Maasai Mara (5.30 hours). Third day to move to Lake Nakuru – 232 km (4.55 hours). Fourth day – 365 km to reach Amboseli (6.55 hours). Return - 215 km (3.49 hours). Stays: 2 nights at Miti Mingi eco camp The accommodation is located adjacent to the Maasai Mara national reserve and offers tents for 4 people arranged in 2 rings. The tent offers all the comforts: bath and shower with hot water, mosquito curtains at the bed. Campo welcomes tourists from all nations after a tiring day of safari in the common lobby where it offers buffet of hot meals of your choice + fruit (water, soft drinks, beer and alcohol for a cash fee). WIFI available in public areas. 1 night at Buraha Zenoni resort The proximity to Lake Nakuru national park (30 min.) turns it into convenient half. Availability of ample parking, outdoor swimming pool until sunset (hotel also offers on loan towels), restaurant with flexible and comfortable hours for safari groups, food choice (buffet) and for all tastes. Clean room, comfortable bed. Variety of TV channels (sports, entertainment, news). 2 nights at Nyati Safari camp With the backdrop of the whitewashed mountain of Kilimanjaro, the property has ample parking for guests. The curtains are huge - with 3 double beds provided by mosquito curtain. Each with personal shower with hot water 24 hours, toilet and sink. Minimal furniture - 2 tables and 2 chairs for use also on the veranda. Wi-fi available in the lobby/canteen for communal meals and in each tent. Friendly and friendly staff. One of the few flaws is the "curfew" at 11pm. The lights/wi-fu (provided by photovoltaic batteries) are switched off and then turned back on at 05.00.

Unforgettable and unique animal experience. - Far exceeded my expectations. I really had no idea that I would encounter all the animals several times or be watching a pride of lion defend their hunt against hyenas. In terms of animals, birds and scenery it ticked all boxes. Our driver was Zachary who delivered a well paced excellent safari. He educated us both of all aspects of animal facts as well as bird life. We both are teachers but he was definitely our teacher on this trip with a great deal of information. His eagle eyes were able to spot a lion cooling off under a tree from 30 metres. Request him if you can. Our choice was a mid level package with private jeep. Before you go on safari you should understand that a lot of the roads were horrible to say the least and water pressure and hot water are lacking at AA lodge Masai Mara and Amboseli. They are in the middle of the bush with a dry climate. Not sure if the top end packages address this problem but that's probably why you pay so much more. On the bright side the breakfast and dinners were fine. Big spread. The lunch packs were not the most appetising but we were on safari. Don't expect modern or clean toilets. Only found one in the park which was amazing. The best places we went were Masai Mara. The masai village was worth a visit. The tour company said US$25 but the Masai insisted on $30 per person. Anyway not sure why inflation has hit the village but it goes into the community to help them so no problem. One thing people need is patience on the safari. It's nature and nothing is guaranteed. The drivers appear to be stopping and chatting to each other but they are actually exchanging valuable information on sightings and location. It's an important part of the job. We really enjoyed our safari and would recommend the company especially if Zachary is the driver.

Incredible safari with Zachary the Greatest - Our family of four went on a seven-day Kenyan safari, visiting Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli. We were incredibly lucky to have Zachary the Greatest as our driver and guide. Zachary and Josef picked us up from our hotel in Nairobi, and after a quick briefing from Josef, we dropped him off at the company office and set off on what became the most amazing trip of our lives. Travelling between the parks was long, but also exciting and eye-opening, especially for Europeans not accustomed to the local way of living. Every park we visited was brilliant and worth seeing, but Maasai Mara was our favourite, particularly because of the abundance of wildlife during the great migration season. We spent three days there, taking different routes each day. On our first day we visited a Maasai village, which was a great experience. We were greeted by the chief and were shown around the village, Maasai also perform a dance for dance and they also performed their famous jumping for us. In Maasai Mara we saw four out of the Big Five - elephants, lions, buffalo, and leopards (twice). Although we missed the rhino, we saw countless zebras, wildebeest, many giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, and a huge variety of birds including ostriches, vultures, and eagles. Thanks to Zachary’s incredible eagle eye, we even saw a black mamba - something we never imagined we would ever see! One day, he took us by surprise and organised a walk along the banks of the Mara River with an armed ranger, we spotted hippos and crocodiles from a safe distance. After Maasai Mara, we drove to Lake Nakuru, where the very first animal we saw was a rhino - completing our Big Five! We later saw more rhinos and enjoyed an afternoon drive around the lake, including a visit to Makalia Falls. Lake Nakuru is a smaller, enclosed park compared to Maasai Mara, but still absolutely worth visiting, especially for bird lovers. We saw plenty of pelicans and other species, as well as Rothschild giraffes (different from the Maasai giraffes in Mara), zebras, baboons, hippos, and colobus monkeys. The next day we took a long drive toward Amboseli, with a stop at Lake Naivasha for a boat trip. It was a bit scary but an unforgettable experience to see hippos from water level. We kept a safe distance, and also saw pelicans, fish eagles, cormorants, and sacred ibis. Halfway through the boat ride, we stopped at an animal sanctuary for a short walking safari among wildebeest, giraffes, and antelopes. Afterward, we visited the Great Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing to Amboseli, arriving in the early evening. On the way, we made an unplanned stop to help repair another safari truck headed in the same direction. Zachary, apart from being an outstanding guide, driver, and an incredibly funny and genuinely lovely person, also turned out to be a mechanic! We spent two days in Amboseli. The park is very dry and the drives were dusty, but the scenery more than made up for it, especially the breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli had the largest concentration of elephants we saw, including some with impressively long tusks. In addition to the usual zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and giraffes, we spotted lions, cheetahs, monkeys, hyenas, ostriches, pelicans, secretary birds, bustard birds, and even a very strange-looking giraffe antelope. From the very first day, Zachary asked what animals we most hoped to see. I mentioned the serval, and Zachary warned that it would require incredible luck. On our last morning, just ten minutes from the park gates as we headed back toward the airport - there it was. A serval! It was the perfect final moment of our safari and summed up our experience with Zachary the Greatest: absolutely amazing. You ask Zachary - Zachary delivers. Zachary was truly a highlight of our trip. Without a doubt, our safari would not have been the same without him. If you have the chance to choose - choose Zachary. If you don’t have a choice and end up with him, consider yourself extremely lucky! Our accommodation and food were wonderful throughout the trip, especially at Sentrim Mara Camp, which was our favourite. Explorers Wild Adventure proved to be an excellent company to work with, and communication with Johann before our arrival in Africa was impeccable. We highly recommend them to anyone uncertain about which safari company to choose. Thank you to everyone at Explorers Wild Adventure for making our holiday so unforgettable.

Very good trip - Did the six day trip through Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli in mid/late September 2025. Our driver/guide was David. He has 19 years experience. He was fantastic, knowledgeable and made a true effort to try and get us to see all of the animals especially the ones that take effort to find - lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. Unfortunately, we did not see leopards on our trip, but not from a lack of trying and one unfortunate incident of another driver accidentally honking their horn and scaring a visible one away. He encourages you to ask any and all questions you have about the wildlife, the country, the people or anything else you are curious about. If we were going to be late getting back to a lodge, he would call them to make them aware so they kept supper out for us or vice versa if we had an early start he would see if the restaurant could maybe open just a little bit earlier so we could get food. There was never a shortage of bottled water to drink. I started planning this trip back in November 2024. I found this company on Tripadvisor. They were highly rated and all the comments were positive. Johann, their sales team leader, was always prompt and answered all of my emails within 24 hours and the only reason they took that long was due to time differences. He is very prompt, answers all questions, and he even helps makes suggestions on where to stay, why to get a jeep instead of a van, the different payment options, etc. I would/will use them again if I ever go back to see some new parks or try to find the leopard again. I would also suggest them to any of my family or friends if they were planning a trip.

Perfect safari trip - We had an amazing experience with our guide Zachary. He was so nice and made sure everything went well for us. He was always on the lookout for animals and made sure we saw the animals at the best angle possible. He is also very careful and respectful of the wildlife. The accomodations where very comfortable and clean. The food was amazing, it was always a buffet expect for lunch and there was plenty choices for every taste. We didn’t had to take care of anything. We are very grateful for this week and we recommend the company and Zachary! You will not regret it!

Extraordinary guide Zachary and unforgettable week - We were there from 26 September to 1 October 2025. It was a great adventure with my two daughters. Our guide and extraordinary driver, Zachary, was extremely kind. I nicknamed it Magic eyes. He knew during that beautiful week, to show us all the animals. He was able to spot them from afar and with patience and all the effort, he allowed us to spot them and enjoy the show. In addition, we were always in the right place to contemplate nature and animals. I give him a rating of 10+++. In addition, there was a small problem with our accommodation at Amboseli Park and Wilderness Explorer company settled quickly. They also took care to check with our super guide to find out our appreciation during the week. Excellent Service ☺️☺️ thank you for everything ☺️

First safari experience - This was our first safari experience we had Peter as our guide. Few days before we weee told that the safari itenery was going to be changing to the other way around - at first we were dissapointed. We were picked up from our hotel and then drove to amboseli The staff at this lodge was my fav !!!! The service was just 10/10!! At this park we saw elephants, giraffes hippos zebra Then we drove to lake Nakuru this day was a long travel day be prepared for it - we didn’t want to do the lake option just tell your driver and just go straight to your hotel to relax especially cause it is a long day. Lake Nakuru we saw white and black rhinos and a lion and lioness (from a far) Then we drove to Nara and had an afternoon game drive there - the lodge is inside the park which is pretty cool. We saw a cheetah and two lioness this day which was so cool! I didn’t think we would see a cheetah. The next day we had a full day in Mara we saw a male lion and a leopard !!!! We also saw part of the great migration. This park is huge !! I wish we had more time in Marra The only option activity we did was the village visit which was great but no one told us this but take sweets or clothes or books or whatever for the kids in the village. We didn’t have anything nor did we have any cash to buy aoemthint from the market they had in their village - this was a bit weird cause they even said okay well give it to Peter later and he can give it to us… this was definitely the least fav thing for me. It makes you feel uncomfortable. We stayed at the sentrium lodges for all places and it as nice the food was great but my fav was amboseli. The drinks are not included except at breakfast you have juices. Anyway we actually much preferred having mara last as rhat was the most impressive park. The tour should offer the option to their customers cause I actually felt seeing Mara last meant I got to enjoy its beauty more ?! I’m very keen for another safari in Africa and would love to try Tanzania or South Africa
