Into the Heart of Kenya’s Wild

As a wildlife photographer and travel writer, my heart beats for the untamed beauty of Africa. This year, I embarked on a 7-day safari through Kenya, a journey that promised to unveil the wild wonders of Samburu, Aberdare, and Maasai Mara. The allure of witnessing the ‘Samburu Special Five’ and the iconic landscapes of Maasai Mara was irresistible. With my camera in hand and a spirit eager for adventure, I set off to explore the heart of Kenya’s wilderness.

Our journey began in Samburu National Reserve, a place where the arid landscapes are as captivating as the wildlife that roams them. The ‘Samburu Special Five’—the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx—were a sight to behold. Each game drive was a thrilling pursuit of these unique creatures, and the cultural interactions with the Samburu people added a rich layer to the experience. A Symphony of Nature

From Samburu, we journeyed to the lush landscapes of Aberdare National Park. The Majesty of Maasai Mara

Our final destination was the iconic Maasai Mara, a place that needs no introduction. The endless plains, teeming with wildlife, were a testament to the raw beauty of nature. One of the most unforgettable moments was the optional hot air balloon safari.
