Samburu National Reserve - Begin your journey to Samburu with an early morning pickup at 7 a.m. Enjoy a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take in the stunning scenery. Lunch will be served at a lodge in Nakuru. In the evening, after checking in, embark on an evening game drive in the Samburu National Reserve. Samburu is renowned for its abundant wildlife and birdlife, including rare Northern-Kenya species such as the Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and Somali Ostrich. It is home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah, and leopard) and other large animals like elephants, warthogs, impala, and waterbuck. It is also a famous bird-watching destination, featuring species like kingfishers, bee-eaters, guinea-fowl, yellow-throated spur-fowl, lilac-breasted roller, red-billed hornbill, secretary bird, Verreaux’s eagle, superb starling, and yellow-billed hornbill. The unique culture of the Samburu tribe adds a special touch to the visit.

Lake Nakuru National Park - After an early breakfast, enjoy one last morning game drive in Samburu Reserve. Then, begin your journey to Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch. In the evening, depart for a game drive to spot wildlife. This small park is home to magnificent, rare white rhinos, part of the Big Five, and offers the chance to see pink flamingos.

Nakuru to Maasai Mara

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Around 7:00 a.m., after breakfast, enjoy a brief game drive at Nakuru National Park before heading to Maasai Mara. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the evening, embark on a game drive in search of wildlife. The Masai Mara Reserve is Kenya’s most popular tourist destination, located in the Great Rift Valley’s open grasslands. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment, making it a jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. Visitors are almost guaranteed to spot the Big Five.

FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN MASAI MARA RESERVE

Maasai Mara National Reserve - At 7:00 a.m., after breakfast, set out for a full day of exploration in Masai Mara, seeking the Big Five. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, provided by us. Visit the site of the annual wildebeest migration and observe resident crocodiles and hippos along the Mara River banks. The Mara hosts the most spectacular natural event: the great migration. This annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. The phenomenal wildebeest migration, a spectacular event unique to Maasai Mara, is considered the seventh wonder of the world. Following the herds are the savanna’s predators – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.

MAASAI MARA TO NAIROBI

Maasai Mara National Reserve - After an early breakfast, depart for Nairobi with an optional stop at a Maasai Village for a cultural experience. Learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local people as you leave Maasai Mara. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Mai Mahiu. Arrive in Nairobi at 4 p.m. and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
