Friendly and dependable, giving us a great safari experience - We enjoyed an amazing four-day Kenyan safari with James from Marurumi, visiting Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara, seeing a lot of lions, rhino, elephant, giraffe and more. The accommodation was good in both locations - we particularly liked the lodge associated with a nearby orphanage in Nakuru. James was really knowledgeable and took great care of us - our two children (14 and 11) enjoyed our time with him. Communication before the trip was always prompt, with all of our questions being answered. Overall, we’d thoroughly recommend Marurumi.

Experience of a lifetime! ♥️ - Not sure who to book your African safari with? Look no further because you found the best company ♥️ We recently just finished a customized safari organized by Mararumi Safaris consisting of visiting Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Nakuru, Hells Gate, Maasai Mara and the Serengeti and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We saw all Big 5, among other amazing animals, very up close and learned so much about the animals and culture of Kenya. James, our guide and the owner of the company, was SO informative, knowledgeable and accommodating. He honestly is like family to us now because he made sure our experience was nothing short of amazing and he treated us with such genuine kindness!! James made our safari such an incredible experience and seeing all the beautiful animals was like the cherry on the top. If you’re looking to visit East Africa, reach out to Mararumi Safaris to start planning your trip, you won’t be disappointed!! 😀

Solo safari to dream about - I Solo traveled to Kenya for a 6-day Safari with Marurumi, covering Masai Mara, Amboseli, &Lake Nakuru. I was very anxious when i started planning my trip as i had never been to Africa before. I did a lot of research and found "Marurumi Safaris". I had a lot of questions and the team was very friendly to answer all of them and made me feel comfortable. They were flexible to offer me a package based on my needs and offered me various options. On the other hand. Lawrence (Lawrenzo), my guide was very friendly and informative. I am a photographer. So, i had to take a lot of pictures from various angles. Lawrence was very patient and made sure i got the best angles. He was definitely a best and very experienced guide. Trip info (5 days): 2 days - Amboseli, 1 day - Lake Nakuru & 2 days Masai Mara with Hot-air balloon ride. Package: Silver Accommodation - Amboseli sopa lodge, Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge (best one) & Mara Bush camp on a 4x4 Land cruiser Overall, an amazing trip and i will definitely recommend it. Just book without having any second thoughts. You will not regret it.

Top Top Top - We dreamt this family trip for long time. We had the chance and honour to be guided by James, the owner of Marurumi, quite recent and small safari operator: a sincere and true passion for nature and animals! Respectful for environment and animals, incredibly competent, always polite and careful to our needs. Jeep in good conditions and always clean in the morning, power and wifi always available for devices (clearly not a primary need for a safari but very appreciated), water always available. Always concentrated driving in the kenyan roads, not the easiest ones in the world... Accomodations accordingly to our mid-range choice. Special mentions to the accomodations at Nakuru and Masai Mara: the proposed ones were quite small and unique for environment and service. Parks. Difficult to describe. James continously shared with us his know how feeding our curiosity. He was able to allow us to find all our targets and even more: 2 servals in masai mara had been the icing on the cake. We had the chance to meet several times his collaborators leading other groups: the impression is that James had the capacity to choose them very well. Competitive prices. More than satisfied. We will suggest Marurumi to all our friends and we would recommend it to anyone else. If we will have the chance to get back to Kenya we will definetely have no doubts.

Unforgettable safari experience – with the best guide! - Unforgettable safari experience – with the best guide! We had an incredible 6-day safari through Kenya, visiting Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara. The trip was perfectly organized, and our guide and driver Lawrence made it truly exceptional. He is kind, knowledgeable, a safe driver, and always calm and professional – we felt in the best hands every step of the way. Amboseli was breathtaking, with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and an unforgettable surprise: lunch at a beautifully set table in a full outdoor restaurant setup by our lodge, right in the middle of the park. A moment of pure magic! Lake Naivasha was our least favorite part of the journey – it felt very touristy and didn’t match the authentic atmosphere of the other parks. We wouldn’t recommend including it in an otherwise flawless itinerary. Lake Nakuru was beautiful, and the Masai Mara completely blew us away. One of the highlights was the “Out of Africa” breakfast on top of a hill after sunrise, overlooking the plains with wildebeests and zebras passing by. Simply unforgettable. The accommodations throughout the trip were all excellent, and we felt truly taken care of. Thank you, Lawrence, for making this safari a once-in-a-lifetime memory. Highly recommended!

Great - I went with my parents, siblings, niece and nephew. The tour was even better than we expected. We saw four of the big five — just missed leopards. All the hotels were great. Our guide, Lawrence, was extremely knowledgeable and taught us a lot. Highest recommendation!

Professional, friendly, punctual and wonderful tour guide - We had our 7d6n safari tour with Marurumi Safaris. We truly enjoy the whole journey from Amboseili, Lake Naivesa, Lake Nakurru & Masai Mara Big thumb ups to our tour guide / driver, Mr Lawrence that been our acoompany for the whole trip. Lawrence is very professional, he explain the details of animal that we met along the journey. Not to forget, he put all his best effort to park the car at the best location /angle to let us see / capture photos of the animal we met. In conclude, marurumi safaris really professional and i definitely recommend other to engage them. Try to get Mr Lawrence as he is really the best i could ask for. Thanks for making my honeymoon such a pleasant experience. 😁

Amazing Safari - We were amazed by the whole experience! James and Lawrence were both excellent experienced guides, that made us see all the animals up close! Amazing safari, top-notch experience - Before our trip, we compared offers from numerous safari companies, and Marurumi Safari stood out by far as the best choice. They impressed us with their quick and high-quality responses, a detailed and well-thought-out itinerary, and a highly competitive price. We did 6 days: 2 amboseli, 1 lake naivasha, 1 lake nakuru, 1 masai mara (last day was travelling back to Nairobi) Our guides, (James in Amboseli park, and Lawrence for the remaining part of the journey), were fantastic! They were incredibly friendly and passionate, providing engaging and insightful commentary about the animals we encountered. Their expertise truly enhanced our experience—they always seemed to know the perfect spots and times to position the vehicle, allowing us to get remarkably close to the wildlife. On several occasions, animals passed right by our car, making for unforgettable moments. Overall, we highly recommend Marurumi Safari—it’s excellent value for money, and the experience was absolutely top-notch!

Unforgettable experience with a great company - We booked a private safari with Marurumi Safaris. Everything went smoothly, they were able to accommodate all of our request in putting together the perfect trip. Quick communication which made organising the trip much easier than we had anticipated. We were able to see three very different parks in the span of our trip which was amazing. The accommodations they chose were all lovely and the activities ran smoothly, we loved how much time we spent on far drives. Our guide and driver, Robin, was really great too. He’s an excellent driver and a great guide who made sure to find whatever we wanted to see - we were able to spot so many animals and see a few up close which was very special. He never made us feel rushed and always ensured we were getting the most of the experience. He is a friendly and good natured person, and we spent a great week together. We couldn’t have been happier and recommend Marurumi to everyone.
