A memorable safari trip in Kenya - We had such a fun, enjoyable, and exciting game drive safari in Kenya, and luck was truly on our side! 🌿🦁 We were fortunate enough to see the incredible Big 5 up close — a once-in-a-lifetime experience. A big thanks to our driver, Felix, who made the trip even more memorable. He is caring, smart, and very friendly. His sharp observations and deep knowledge of the wildlife ensured that we didn’t miss a single moment of magic. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable safari adventure! 🌍✨

A Great Tour with Many Animals, Photo-Ops, Memories, and Surprises! - Having recently completed the 6-day Maasai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli tour with Greytone Bush Tours, I can surely say that it was beyond excellent! Our tour guide, Boniface was the highlight, and did absolutely everything in his power to make the trip special, and I would be the first to recommend taking this trip with Boniface! As my first safari, I didn't know what to expect. Boniface worked harder than ever to ensure that he knew everyone's names, ensure everyone's safety at all times, and he went out of his way to add extra stops (for example at the grocery store) to our itinerary to (a) make the long drives not as bad, and (b) give us opportunities to explore things that were not on the itinerary (and this completely made our experience)! Boniface was genuinely one of the most hard-working people that I have met in my entire life, and an example of his dedication to his job was on our second day, which was the full-day Maasai Mara game drive. In the early morning, 5:30 or so, we were just waking up and going to breakfast, meanwhile Boniface was changing our first flat tire of the trip, and with no help whatsoever. I can honestly say that I could not do that myself, and especially not drive for 12 hours like Boniface did. He was an incredible tour guide, and I would highly suggest requesting to tour with Boniface should you be considering this trip! In terms of the safari itself, it was absolutely incredible to see all the animals! We saw almost all of the big 5 (unfortunately we saw no cheetahs), however this is not a reflection of the tour company as Boniface (our guide) was on his radio trying to find all the best (and closest) animals for us to see. I also took this trip in "rainy season" (May) which may be another reason that we would have seen "less" animals than usual, however there was no shortage of animals! For instance, we saw lion after lion after lion, many elephants, gazelles, giraffes, ostriches, rhinos (multiple types), hyenas, etc. I took this tour over 3 weeks ago and I am still finding new photos in my camera roll! I would also say that rainy season doesn't have much rain and did not impact our trip (the weather was still hot and great), so this should not be a reason not to go. Otherwise, on the game drives, Boniface ensured that there were plenty of photo ops, chances to get out of the vehicle (not near the animals, obviously), lunch breaks, restroom breaks, etc. It was a pleasure having him as our guide! In terms of the accommodations, this is a budget tour, which is reflected in the accommodations. The third and final accommodation (Nyati Safari Camp in Amboseli) was by far the nicest, and a great way to end the trip. Otherwise, the other camps build character. At the first camp that we stayed at (Miti Mingi Eco Camp), there was a large brown stain on my towel, so I had asked the reception for a new towel, and was sort of given a hard time. Nevertheless I understand that they may not have had many towels... building character. We also unfortunately didn't have hot water at any of the accommodations (hot water is advertised by the reception staff), but this was not a big deal at all. Overall the accommodations were nice, each room/tent had a washroom, multiple beds, electricity (during its designated times), and the accommodations supplied our food. In terms of food, Miti Mingi Eco Camp and Nyati Safari Camp had great food! Food is served buffet-style, and there was no shortage of food (including fruit!) at these spots. Hotel Citymax however did not serve an appropriate amount of food for our group size, and we did have to ask for more. When we did ask for more, they only brought out more food on a plate to the individual that asked. Otherwise, the security at the Miti Mingi Eco Camp went out of their way as well, in that they brought us to visit a local school which was a great experience and was also not part of the itinerary.

Wonderful lifetime experience. - This time I tried a long itinerary on my safari covering the Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli, it was a budget one and we had all the best offered to us. The vehicles used were comfortable for the drives and the driver had intensive knowledge of the parks and animal tracking. Then there's the communication part, very excellent, fulfilling all the promises and giving all valuable information we needed. Surely greytone bush tours team was a great choice.
