An unforgettable experience with amazing wildlife and views - The safari was really well organised and super easy from start to finish — we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Alice planned a great itinerary for us and different options we could consider which wa super helpful. Each day had a great mix of drives, stops, and different things to see. Our guide Alex was awesome — really attentive and knew exactly where to go for the best views and animal sightings. An all round amazing experience!

An unforgettable experience - The overall trip was an amazing experience to remember. The cost of the safari provided is really reasonable and our tour operator - Alice was always accommodating. The communication was very good and she even upgraded the hotel we stayed the last 2 nights. As for our guide/driver Timothy I don't have enough good words to say about him. A very capable and professional guide with lots of experience on safaris and quick witted enough to get us to the right places at the right times in order to elevate our experience. All the while having the knowledge to respond to our many questions and being cheeky enough of a driver to save us many hours in traffic. This trip wouldn't be the same without him. Would recommend this trip 100%.

Unique and unforgettable experience - Our experience with Morning Star tours was an amazing one. Our tour operator, Alice, was really kind and helpful. She was texting back really fast answering any questions we had at any time of the day. Timo, our Safari guide driver, was really experienced. He knew all the good spots for animal watching and thanks to him we saw all the Big Five and many more animals. Everything was really organized and well scheduled. I totally recommend it!

Wonderful Safari in Kenya with Morningstar - From the moment Morningstar replied to my initial query I knew I was in safe hands. Alice provided me with a very professionally made proposal which clearly listed out the costs and itinerary. She answered all of my questions and queries (of which there were many) quickly and put my mind at ease. She was able to tweak the itinerary when I said we'd like to end our holiday at Diani Beach and suggested the train from Emali to Mombasa and booked us a taxi at the other end. This saved us hours of travel time and so glad she suggested it. Once on safari Julius was our guide. He was brilliant and without him I don't think we'd have seen any animals! We saw loads of lions in the Maasai Mara, 12 rhino's in Lake Nakuru and elephants as far as the eye could see in Amboseli Park - he just knew where to take us. He answered all the questions we had, never rushed us when we were looking at something particularly exciting (in my case elephants), was always on time and made the whole safari fabulous. Morningstar also upgraded our accommodation in the Maasai Mara which was a complete surprise and I can't thank them enough for this. It was absolutely beautiful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Morningstar for your safari in Kenya.

From planning to game drives, Morningstar delivered a flawless safari experience for our whole family - So where do I begin? An African safari is the stuff of dreams, often planned months or even years in advance. We, however, decided in July to travel in August, with just a month to plan what turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. Our journey took us to Lake Naivasha for a day, Lake Nakuru National Park for another, and then three days in the Masai Mara. We spent one day in the Mara Triangle and two days in the Greater Mara. Each of these safaris was unique in what it offered, and the variety of experiences has only left us wanting to return to Africa again. I began by reading reviews on Tripadvisor and Safaribookings and contacted four to five companies. In the end, I narrowed it down to Morningstar and another very highly reputed operator with nearly flawless reviews. What tipped the scales in Morningstar’s favor was one person: Joysharon. She was prompt, flexible, and genuinely willing to work with both our budget and our preferred lodges. Most importantly, she was always accessible — whether on WhatsApp, email, or phone. I asked her countless questions, and she was consistently patient, kind, and helpful. She stayed in touch before, during, and even after our trip, which truly set her apart. Payments were also easy and stress-free. Unlike many others, Morningstar never pressured us to pay too early. I was able to settle the balance just a couple of days before departure. To the Morningstar team, in Joysharon you have a gem, and I hope you keep hold of her. One of my requests while booking was to have Alex Masila as our guide along with a reliable vehicle. Looking back, that was the best decision we made. On an African safari, your guide makes or breaks the experience, and Alex made ours unforgettable. Traveling with two toddlers and two senior citizens, we needed someone understanding and accommodating, and Alex was exactly that and more. From the very first day, it was clear that Alex doesn’t just guide safaris; he lives and breathes wildlife. A father of three himself, I could imagine what an inspiring mentor he must be at home, passing down his passion and knowledge to the next generation. His depth of understanding was extraordinary. From animal behavior and anatomy to birdlife, landscapes, and even the subtle differences between regions, Alex brought every sighting to life. With him, it was never just about spotting animals, it was about truly seeing and understanding them. Over five days, Alex’s network and rapport with other guides ensured we never missed a moment. Even at busy sightings with many vehicles, he had an uncanny ability to position us perfectly, often in the best and closest spot. That personal touch transformed each encounter into something special. In hindsight, choosing Morningstar was absolutely the right call. It was not only because of their responsiveness but because of the people behind it. Joysharon and Alex made the wilderness feel like home, and for that, we will always be grateful.

Professionnel and excellent service from start to finish, I knew I was with the best for my safari - Communication was fast and professional, with any questions answered quickly. I loved the detailed agenda, tips for packing and guidance I received from the team on visas. It was a pleasure working with them and they made me feel very comfortable as a solo female traveler. My driver was Willy, the ultimate professional who gave me the best experience I could have wished for! We were together for 5 days and he was always very kind and patient, answering the millions of questions I had. He is so knowledgeable about the parks, with great contacts, and works tirelessly to get you to the best spots to see the animals. We saw all the big 6, and managed to get so close, it was truly a magical experience. I wouldn’t hesitate twice in choosing Morning Star again and definitely would love to safari with Willy again. Their vehicles are excellent too !!!

Very thoughtful, compassionate group of people - MorningStar is a group that was about to take us on a Safari in Kenya when we suddenly faced a nightmarish situation. Young men Dennis and Alex were ready to pick us up to go on a safari. We were a group of six and our average age was 75. One person in our group, slumped and fell as he was coming to join us at the reception. He had a cardiac arrest and passed away in the corridor. Everything went topsy- turvy. Dennis and Alex came over and immediately told us they will take care of everything and we didn’t have to do anything. Exactly according to their words, the employees of Morning Star were with us from the first day until they put us in the plane back to the US. Morning star employees said they will take care of every detail for us and told us we can continue to stay in the same hotel and do not have to worry about anything. Sure enough we did not have to hassle with anything. They took care of the formalities in the funeral home, procuring the death certificate, informing the US Embassy. At the same time they were talking to us and helping us to process our grief. Alex and Dennis took on the whole responsibility with a smile. The MorningStar employees made everything easy, smooth and efficient. I recommend them from the bottom of my heart for any group that wants to go on a Safari. These are great guys who make sure you are in comfort throughout and will, I am sure, will give you an unforgettable Safari experience!

excellent agency!! recommended! - I can only advise. Accurate, honest, serious and punctual! Trips customized according to needs, let’s say that thanks to them you can go on a safari forgetting the Italian travel agencies (much more expensive). You book a flight on nairobi and then organize a holiday according to your needs. In our case we also had the transfer booked by train from nairobi to Mombasa to do some sea. Return by plane from Mombasa

Private tour - Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara in 5 days with Alex Masila - We did a 5 day 4 night safari in August with Alex Masila (both driver and guide) who has 15 years of safari experience. We spent 1.5 days in Lake Nakuru and 2.5 days in Masai Mara and saw the big 5 and countless other game and bird as well. Learned a lot about all the wildlife we saw. The 4x4 toyota was very comfortable and spacious especially since we had a private tour and the roof popped open as well. Wanda was very communicative over WhatsApp when we were planning and booking so it didn’t take long to secure the dates and accommodations.

A very bad experience. Total fraud on the subsidiary! - Fellow citizens who brushed over this comment are advised that the company was chosen carefully and that we had paid the full amount before arriving in Kenya, but on the last day of our trip, the morning of our departure from Maserara to Nairobi Airport, we were told by the hotel that Morningstar had not paid the hotel fee and therefore we were not allowed to leave. After Alice, Morningstar's docking officer, disappeared at the time and we were not contacted by telephone/WeChat, etc., it was only after we had to advance ourselves nearly $7,000 for the room that Morningstar's people “came late”, saying that they had an emergency ahead of them and could not deal with the emergency in time, and promising to return our advance. After returning home on October 5th until October 30th, we still haven't received a refund! The Morningstar people were full of lies, saying one minute that money had been paid, the next that they were still talking to the driver about the final cost, and we were talking to the bank, and there was no sign of them sending money at all. If you don't want to make advances for a scam company, or have recourse to a foreign country where you almost can't return home, don't choose this company. They're failing us! A very bad experience.
