Maasai Mara National Reserve - At 5:00 am, the driver/guide will collect the operator from their chosen location for the journey to the park. Experience the beauty of the African dawn as the fields around come to life. There will be a stop for breakfast in the town of Narok. Continuing the journey, the operator will pass by homesteads and possibly see Maasai herdsmen adorned in their vibrant shukas. Expect to reach the park around 10:30 am.
Marvel at the park’s vast landscapes, featuring rolling hills and savannahs. This is one of the world’s richest ecosystems, home to an incredible variety of wildlife. The days here will be filled with game drives, tracking big cats, elephants, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, and many more – over 95 mammal species reside here.
Lunch will be a picnic by the Mara River, where countless herds cross during the Great Migration season. After more afternoon game drives, the operator will refresh at the Safari lodge, followed by dinner and evening activities.
Masai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After a relaxed breakfast at the lodge/camp, the dedicated driver guide will assist with the checkout process and proceed to Nairobi – Kenya’s vibrant capital city.
Along the way, the guide will highlight the Longonot extinct volcano, a stratovolcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. It is believed to have last erupted in the 1860s, and its name comes from the Maasai word Oloonong’ot, meaning “mountains of many spurs” or “steep ridges.” There is an option to drive via Naivasha for lunch/excursions at an additional cost or head straight to Nairobi and visit Kiambethu farm for a tea farm tour, including a three-course buffet lunch (at an extra cost). Alternatively, drive directly back to the capital and later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for the journey home.
