• Kemi SnowCastle - The Gemstone Exhibition presents captivating jewelry and over 700 different gemstones and semi-precious stones from Finland and across the globe. Uncover the hidden treasures of Finnish soil and admire precise replicas of world-famous royal jewels, such as Queen Elizabeth’s crown and Marie Antoinette’s necklace. The exhibition is based on the extensive collection of the Kemi Gemstone Gallery, established in 1986 by a celebrated local goldsmith. The exhibition is located on the third floor of the SnowCastle’s main building and is open throughout the year.

In the newly redesigned, year-round snow and ice experience, visitors can immerse themselves in the authentic feeling of winter in this 400 square meter large cold experience room! Surrounded by snow walls and dazzling ice sculptures, enjoy the sensation of a cold winter and create unforgettable memories by sliding down the ice slide or striking a royal pose on the icy throne for a memorable photo.

Your adventure starts with the option to be picked up from selected locations in central Kemi or to arrive directly at the main building, which offers a spacious free parking area. After checking in, you have the opportunity to explore the surroundings before the included transfer takes you to Kemi Harbor to board the Icebreaker Arktis.

During the Icebreaker cruise, you can explore two heated indoor decks, designed for comfort in Arctic conditions. The ship navigates through the frozen waters of the Gulf of Bothnia, offering uninterrupted views of the ice and sea through expansive observation windows.

Throughout the three-hour journey, you can observe the icebreaker in action and learn about its capabilities through direct observation. The cruise includes a brief stop in the middle of the frozen sea, where you can walk on solid ice and float safely in icy water while wearing a thermal survival suit. After the cruise, the return transfer will take you back to the main building and drop-off locations.
