Nature-friendly mangrove tour - We were traveling as a family and - despite quite a lot of rain - had a really good time. Mohammed made the tour interesting, entertaining and humorous. We were particularly pleased that he also cared about nature conservation and therefore refrained from feeding eagles, although he would have the license to do so. We were looking for a tour that is as nature and animal friendly as possible and we found this here - apart from the fishing station. Clear recommendation!

An experience like no other - We booked the 3 hour boat tour of Kilim Geoforest Park through Royal Mangrove Tours (purchased through Klook). What a wonderful experience this was for our family. We had a wonderful guide called Hassan who was very friendly and knowledgeable on the whole area. His passion shined through and what I loved the most was that he did not encourage the monkey/Eagle feeding like other boat tours. Instead, we watched these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. As part of the tour we entered into 'Crocodile Cave'. This evidently required a skillful driver to get you through one side of the cave to the other as it was pretty much a one way cave with the boat. It was challenging as boats would enter both ends of the cave making it difficult for one boat to pass through. Our tour guide/driver, Hassan showed his level of skills to get through to the other side, when there were consistently boats stopping his way. It was definitely worth the round of applause from the boat when he managed to get us through safely to the other side. Hassan explained the history of the area, as well as the flora and fauna found here. He allowed us tourists to take as many photos as we pleased and at no point did anyone feel rushed. We spent some time at the floating fish restaurant which was pretty special, having yummy food and amazing views. The bat cave was pretty special as well. I've never seen so many bats and the cave itself sure was something! Highly recommend hiring a torch to have a better view of the bats.

Good fun cheap tour - Fun tour. Beautiful limestone cliff islands and interesting mangroves. The boat speed is quite thrilling. Lots of people getting in and off boats at the stopping points which was sometimes entertaining. Fish farm itself is dreary but has a lovely view. Good value tour, and afterwards stayed for a swim at Langkawis most pretty beach.

Tourist attraction, not much more - The tour is very touristy. At a rapid pace you sail along the mangroves, you can not enter / between. You also sail along some rocks mentioned in the description, eg gorilla Island. Animals are fed (eagles and monkeys) The monkeys even come on board with the guide. At the bat cave aggressive monkeys, not pleasant. There are dozens of boats sailing around in the same places. All in all very touristy, not educational and not really fascinating, was our experience.

Pristine environment that needs protecting - This is a comfortable boating experience. I would recommend guests are informed NOT to feed the monkeys and NOT to throw rubbish into the water ways. This was a shock to my partner and I. A focus on protecting this pristine environment will only enhance this tour and ensure it can continue for future generations. The captive species at the ‘fish farm’ is not necessary and they look unwell. Environmental and ecological improvements are needed to educate the tour guides and guests. This would be my hope for the future of this incredible natural habitat 🙏🏼

Tourist trap stay away. - Total tourist trap. There was no guide just inexperienced kid racing a boat through the waterways. He knew nothing about the mangroves or anything else. The tour says three hours, but it was really just too. They park you at it floating restaurant for an hour and then drive you back three minutes to shore. This tour are definitely should not be on VIATOR. I gave it a couple stars because the route itself was fun
