Description
Mahsuri Tomb-Makam Mahsuri is a legendary site dedicated to Princess Mahsuri, located in Kampung Mawat, 12 km from Kuah. Also known as Makam Mahsuri, it is one of the island’s many natural attractions with tales akin to English folklore, with Mahsuri’s legend being the most renowned.
- Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls - Known for its seven natural pools linked by a flowing river, Seven Wells Waterfall is one of Langkawi’s most enchanting natural spectacles. Situated in the Machinchang Cambrian Geoforest Park, the falls are divided into two sections: the upper and lower pools, separated by a dramatic vertical waterfall cascading down a 91-meter-high cliff.
Cooling off in a refreshing natural pool is a reward for hiking through the humid rainforest to reach the serene waterfall, surrounded by leafy trees with playful monkeys swinging between branches.
First are the lower pools, accessible after climbing about 200 steps. These are popular for their easy access, view of the vertical waterfall, and large plunge pool at the base of a slippery rock face. Dedicated hikers can continue climbing a total of 638 steps to reach the upper pools, where the fall’s namesake seven pools of varying depths, shapes, and sizes are found.
- Atma Alam Batik Village - (Please note this attraction is closed every Tuesday). Next, the tour heads to Atma Alam Batik Art Village, where visitors can observe the traditional batik printing process using wax and dye. There is also an opportunity to purchase silk hand-pulled and local handicraft cloth.
Atma Alam Batik Art Village-Atma Alam Batik Art Village is a batik center designed to attract tourists and promote the art of batik in Langkawi. Located in Padang Matsirat, it was created by Aza Osman, an oil painter, and Roshadah Yusof, a batik artist, who designed half an acre as a space to showcase the creative spirit of batik.
- Pantai Cenang - The tour then proceeds to Cenang Street. Along Cenang Street, visitors can enjoy a beachside walk, duty-free shopping, and visit Underwater World, one of the largest marine and freshwater aquariums in Southeast Asia.
Cenang Street-Pantai Cenang is the busiest beach town on Langkawi Island, offering a diverse mix of cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, and duty-free outlets along its scenic beach strip. Just a 10-minute drive from Langkawi International Airport, it’s a popular holiday spot for families due to its kid-friendly attractions like Underwater World Langkawi, Rice Garden Museum, and Kiki Club at Meritus Pelangi Resort & Spa.
- Eagle Square - The tour continues to Eagle Square, symbolizing Langkawi with a 39-foot-high (12-m) eagle statue. Visitors interested in duty-free shopping can stop in Kuah Town for alcohol, cigarettes, and chocolate.
Eagle Square-Dataran Lang, also known as Eagle Square, is one of Langkawi’s most famous manmade attractions, featuring a large eagle sculpture poised for flight. This 12-meter-tall statue is one of the island’s most recognizable landmarks, greeting visitors arriving by ferry.
- Kuah - Kuah Town-Kuah Town, Langkawi, is the largest city in the southeast of the main island. It experiences less traffic compared to beaches like Pantai Kok or Pantai Cenang. Most notably, it offers numerous duty-free shops, making it an attractive shopping destination.
After leaving Kuah Town, the tour concludes with a drop-off at the hotel.
