Journey from Cappadocia to Adıyaman (Nemrut Mountain)
Karatay Han - After picking up guests from their hotel or the airport in Cappadocia, the journey begins towards Mesopotamia along the historic “Silk Road.” Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes later, travelers will arrive at the Karatay Han Caravanserai, a remarkable site from the Seljuk Turks civilization, constructed in the 13th century and used until the 1970s.
Pinarbasi - A stop at Pinarbasi Village for lunch offers a chance to enjoy the scenic Taurus Mountains and observe the rural lifestyle of Turkey.
Kahramanmaras - En route to Mesopotamia, a stop in Kahramanmaras province provides a unique opportunity to taste the finest handmade ice cream in Turkey, crafted from goat milk.
Adiyaman - Located near Nemrut Mountain, Adiyaman is the ideal place to stay in the region. Guests will check into a hotel and spend the night in Adıyaman. During the summer, due to longer daylight hours, visitors first explore Nemrut Mountain to enjoy the sunset before heading to the hotel.

Nemrut Dagi National Park - Departing from the hotel early in the morning, guests travel to Mount Nemrut. After reaching the end of the road, a 20-minute walk leads to the summit, where the unforgettable sunrise can be witnessed among the colossal statues and heads of kings and gods. Nemrut Mountain was designated a UNESCO Cultural and Historical Heritage site in 2015.
Arsemia Antik Kenti - The summer capital of the Commagene Kingdom, where significant religious ceremonies and celebrations were held. Visitors can see a relief stele depicting the “Handshake of Antiochos and Heracles.”
Cendere Bridge - Also known as the “Septimius Severus Bridge,” it was constructed by Roman Emperor Lucius Septimius Severus between A.D. 193-211 over the Cendere stream.
Karakus Tumulusu - A monumental tomb where members of the Royal Family were buried, known as the pyramids of Anatolia and Mesopotamia.
Sanliurfa - Guests will stay at a boutique hotel in Sanlıurfa, known as the “city of prophets,” a holy city for Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Optionally, guests can enjoy “Sıra Gecesi,” a dinner show featuring traditional Mesopotamian music, dancing, and cuisine.
Urfa - Gobeklitepe - Harran - Zeugma Mosaic Museum and Return to Cappadocia
Sanliurfa - The itinerary includes a visit to Abraham’s Cave and the Pools of Holy Carp. Guests will also explore the oriental covered bazaar and Gümrükhan.
Potbelly Hill - Recognized as the first temple in human history. Until the remains were discovered in 2008, historians and archaeologists believed otherwise. It was revealed that temples were built first, followed by settlements around them. The first monuments were constructed around 9600 B.C., nearly 11,600 years ago.
Harran - An ancient city dating back to 3000 B.C., where the Sun, Moon, and Stars were first revered as holy. Mentioned in the Torah (Old Testament) as a city founded by Noah’s grandson. It is home to the first university in human history and the first professional astrological studies. The clay houses of Harran are designed to provide cool spaces in the region’s hot climate. Visitors will see a clay conical domed house where a family of 47 lives together (a man with 7 wives, 18 children, and 22 grandchildren).
Zeugma Mosaic Museum - Named after the ancient city of Zeugma, one of the four largest cities of the ancient Commagene kingdom. It is one of the largest mosaic museums globally, both in terms of building size and the area covered by mosaics. The world-famous “Mosaic of Gypsy Girl” is displayed here. Visitors can also see examples of late antique churches and early Syriac and Christian iconography. Sculptures, columns, and fountains from the Roman period are exhibited, including the “Maenad” mosaic from the 2nd century AD.
Cappadocia - The day concludes with a return to Cappadocia around 9:30 PM - 10:00 PM. Guests can be dropped off at their hotel in Cappadocia or at Kayseri Airport. If preferred, arrangements can be made for flights to Istanbul, Ephesus, etc., with a drop-off at Gaziantep Airport.

Participants can join this tour from Cappadocia or Istanbul. For a small additional fee, arrangements can be made to pick up guests from their hotel in Istanbul, book a flight to Kayseri Airport, and provide transportation from Kayseri Airport to Mesopotamia.
