Each year, humpback whales journey up to 3,000 miles from their polar feeding areas to the warm tropical breeding grounds in Hawai’i! During their stay in Hawai’i, a variety of breeding-related behaviors can be observed.

Have you ever witnessed a 30-ton whale breach entirely out of the water? It’s an incredible sight! Other behaviors include tail or pec slapping, spy hopping (yes, they can look at you!), and even heat runs (males competing to mate with a female)!

The tour begins at the harbor at 7:30 am and returns to the dock around 12:30 pm. As it is a private tour, the time can be divided between whale watching and snorkeling as preferred. Typically, a few hours are spent observing whales, and when the sun is out and it’s warmer, snorkeling is an option.

Parking is free and available on the right-hand side upon entry! It is recommended to bring reef-safe sunscreen, a jacket, towel, hat, and sunglasses!
