Spectacular! - Beyond exciting! This is a very easy must-do activity for your Kauai holiday. You absolutely will not regret your decision. You should fully understand before you go however, that the bike riding portion is only the last 45-60 minutes of your tour and I’m not sure everybody understands that. You will meet at a quaint taco stand and then get into a van with complete strangers who will become your best friends by the time your tour is over. Our tour guides Jared and Tom are funny and also full of facts and anecdotes about the island. There will be a few stops of interest where you will be allowed to take photos on your ascent up the canyon and you will have some spectacular photos to remind you of just how captivating the canyon and surrounding areas can be. Please make sure that you wear appropriate riding gear and bring a lightweight, packable jacket as there is a significant temperature change between Hanapepe and the top of Waimea Canyon. They insist on closed toe shoes so if you are worried about what shoes will work for a bike tour and a water adventure tour, check out the Teva Omnium Sandal for women. You can wear them on the beach, hiking and snorkeling. When it is time for your downhill adventure in the bike, please take seriously their warnings about the various animals that inhabit the island. We had a herd of goats leap out of the bush when we were traveling at over 20 mph and it was a very, very close call that we didn’t hit any. I won’t spoil the ending, but if you plan to do this adventure, do the one that starts around 3 pm and ends in the evening. Trust me. You’ll really enjoy the last few moments of the tour.

Fun and exhilarating - The guides, Tom and Jared, were very insightful, and shared lots of tidbits on local and natural history, adding to the drive up to Waimea Canyon. We stopped a couple of times to see the views and take pictures. The bikes were sturdy and lightweight and easy to handle. I was very impressed with the emphasis on safety. All in all, a good day--and we were able to avoid any rain while riding! Yay1

Ernesto and Jared really... - Ernesto and Jared really made this a fantastic experience! Driving up the canyon we learned about the history and geology of Kauai and the Napali Coast. It was truly fascinating. Coming down was a blast. I am an avid mountain biker and kind of expected to be underwhelmed by riding down on asphalt but we went FAST! That said there were people of all ages and experience levels in our group and we all had a great time. Ended with a sunset at the beach, 5/5 stars.

A beautiful canyon tour and a thrilling ride down! - This was a really fun tour! Nestor and Jared were excellent tour guides - friendly, helpful, professional and a lot of fun to be with. They were very careful to make sure that everyone was safe and competent on a bike. They watched the group and allowed for reordering (biking is single file - no passing) for group members who wished to bike faster. The first part of the tour is a van tour of the canyon. We drove to the top (4,000') with multiple stops for viewing and photographs. Nestor is a great photographer! and made all of the photos available to the group. The stops were beautiful and progressively colder! When they say "bring a light jacket" they are not kidding. I brought a light nylon jacket and I was freezing. Fortunately, they had jackets with them and loaned them to people who needed another layer. Thank goodness. At a point half-way down, we all stopped and were able to stash these extra layers in the van. The ride down was pure thrill! I loved it - but it is not for anyone uncomfortable on a bike or else they will be just riding the brakes all the way down (or worse). We had no incidents on our trip and everyone made it safely to the beach for sunset pics! Thank you, Nestor and Jared!

Canyon Tour with fun ride down - Great tour of Waimea Canyon and then you start the bike ride down. The ride is controlled at the top, so you don’t go so fast but at the end you can let it fly if you want and speed down the hill. If you don’t want to go that fast you can go at your own pace. Tom and Gerald were great guides who were knowledgeable and looked out for everyone’s safety.

Drop from the top and cruise to the coast with great local hosts. - Excellent outfit for a fun cruise down the canyon road after some killer views. We’ve never seen as many rainbows in a day. Tom and Jared are keen guides with plenty of local anecdotal information. We are extremely satisfied with the service and quality experience they facilitate.
