• Waimea Canyon State Park - We will stop at about 1800 feet for our first view, stop at a miniature waterfall for pictures, take a short walk on a nature trail with native Hawaiian plants where you can stand at the very edge of the canyon, and then on to the main canyon viewing area. From there we will head to the top stopping to see the Waipo’o Falls on the way. At the very top we will view two different vantage points of the Kalalau Valley from 4700 feet down to the ocean. On the way back down I will tell a historical tale about Kauai.

This tour begins with a direct journey to the Waimea Canyon on the west side. Along the way, there will be a stop to stretch and enjoy the view at the Hanapepe Valley overlook. Upon reaching Waimea town, the ascent into the canyon will commence. The first stop will be at approximately 1800 feet for a scenic view, followed by a visit to a small waterfall for photos. A short walk on a nature trail featuring native Hawaiian plants will allow guests to stand at the canyon’s edge, leading to the main canyon viewing area. The tour will then proceed to the top, with a stop to admire the Waipo’o Falls. At the summit, two different perspectives of the Kalalau Valley will be offered, from 4000 feet down to the ocean. On the descent, a historical story about the Kalalau Valley will be shared. Lunch will follow. The tour will then continue to the south side to visit Spouting Horn and Poipu Beach, where there will be opportunities to spot turtles and Hawaiian monk seals.
