As you explore, you’ll gain insights into the vibrant Swahili culture that defines this region. The adventure continues with a visit to the Secret Garden, a hidden gem in Stone Town that captures the soul of Zanzibar. Here, dining is not just a meal but an experience, a chance to savor the flavors of the island in a setting that feels both intimate and grand.
“Great Valentine Dinner - Last night thirty-eight residents in Saxon Gardens enjoyed an amazing Valentines Dinner prepared by our wonderful chefs Richard and Jo!! Our Bistro was decorated beautifully by our Estate manager Melanie Jennings and some of her team Alison and Anneka. Each table had a red rose, sparkly hearts and each of us had a gift of a shortbread heart (made by chef Jo) and a roll of love hearts in a cellophane bag! We are so lucky to live here with such a caring and loving team that do so much to make sure that we residents enjoy every day - thank you so much Melanie and team.” - Reviewed on 2024-02-15

“Turtle sanctuary now 😁 - Hundred years old land turtles that you can feed and touch. Beautiful peacock aside and if you’re lucky you can see a deer. Prison island is a quarantine place for the locals.” - Reviewed on 2023-05-23
