- Kathmandu Durbar Square - Kathmandu Durbar Square, also known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, is the plaza located in front of the historic royal palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom. This square is renowned for its stunning architecture, showcasing the exceptional skills of Newar artists and craftsmen over the centuries. Initially, the royal palace was situated at Dattaraya Square before being relocated to the current Durbar Square site. The Kathmandu Durbar Square houses the palaces of the Malla and Shah Kings who once ruled the city. In addition to these palaces, the square features quadrangles with courtyards and temples. It is named Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square after a statue of Hanuman, the monkey devotee of Lord Ram, positioned at the palace entrance. Key attractions include the Living Goddess Kumari, the Temple of Goddess Taleju, Kal Bhairab, Lord Hanuman, and Kasthamandap, which was sadly destroyed in the 2015 earthquake.
- Patan Durbar Square - Patan Durbar Square is the ancient palace of the medieval rulers of Patan, believed to have been established by King Veer Deva in 299 A.D. The square is adorned with numerous buildings featuring intricately carved windows and balconies in the Newar style. The main attractions here are Krishna Mandir and Hiranya Varna Mahavihar.
- Bhaktapur Durbar Square - Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the plaza located in front of the royal palace of the former Bhaktapur Kingdom. Situated in the present-day town of Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgaon, the complex comprises at least four distinct squares (Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square, and Pottery Square), collectively referred to as Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a popular destination in the Kathmandu Valley. Notable attractions include The Lion Gate, dating back to 1696 A.D., The Golden Gate, acclaimed as the most beautiful and richly crafted example of its kind worldwide, the Palace of Fifty-five Windows, the Picture Gallery, which houses ancient paintings related to Hindu and Buddhist Tantrism from various periods, Nyatapola Temple, a five-story pagoda built by King Bhupatindra Malla in 1702 A.D., and Dattatraya Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and constructed in 1427 A.D. Nearby is a monastery featuring exquisitely carved peacock windows.
