Really special - It was the best experience in pashupatinath. I was there already twice but this time I came to places I didn’t know existed. Nabil gave me a lot of in depth knowledge and I received blessings of 2 yogis. However 5 hours seems long, it flew by. It was def 1 of my Nepal highlights.

A unique experience and... - A unique experience and great way to experience local culture. Nabin was very knowledgeable and provided an abundance of interesting information. The tour winded through Pashupatinath with smells of incense and sounds of bells. It was somber at times, witnessing grieving families at the crematoria. An educational observation of perspectives on death. The night closed with the festive ritual of Sandhya Aarati.

Must Visit Experience in Kathmandu - This is a must-visit experience when visiting Kathmandu. Having been to Varanasi it is a similar experience (Hindu cremation site) but I feel that the cremation site in Kathmandu is actually more accessible for viewing. It's a sobering experience to see the family members bring and prepare the body of the deceased, and then witness the actual burning of the body. I am really sorry I missed the Aarati Pooja ceremony as I feel it would have enhanced my visit. Nonetheless the actual cremations are a sight I won't forget.

A soulful tour - I visited the Pashupatinath temple complex and crematorium in Kathmandu on a private tour. My guide was Nabin Dhital. This is an in-depth tour for people who really want to connect with the place. Nabin was very knowledgeable and told me a lot about the temple, which is an important Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. He also created a real connection with me. We wandered around the temple complex, which is quite massive, spent some time with a genuine sadhu where I had the opportunity to interact and ask a question, and later attend the sunset aarti ceremony on the banks of the Bagmati river. There were cremations taking place, and Nabin explained in some detail the rituals that were being performed. The funeral for a child brought tears to my eyes., but also made me contemplate the great circle of life and death. For me, this tour was a highlight of my trip to Nepal.

Guide is very professional and know all of the knowledge about local life and Hindu culture. Ceremony is unforgettable and when you see some people burn their relatives’ body by the river and memorize them, which is very touching and meaningful. Recommend!

Best Thing To Do in Kathmandu - We would consider this trip as the best thin g to experience while you are in Kathmandu. The entire Pashupatinath temple area is covered during the tour with insightful details of each and every sections. We enjoyed the session with real saints at Gorakhnath, Mrigasthali and the aarati at the evening in the bank of Bagmati river. A not to be missed experience in Kathmandu.

A Destination Not To Be Missed - This tour was truly the height of my trip. Everyone should see the fascinating interplay between history and culture. The cremations against the backdrop of holy men all in a tableau of bulls and monkeys has to be seen, photos can't capture the business and solemnity of this place.
