Full-Day Kathmandu Sightseeing

Kathmandu Durbar Square - 10:00 AM - After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Optional Activity: Everest Mountain Flight at 06:00 AM (USD 250 Per Person)

Pashupatinath Temple is the largest and most sacred shrine for Hindus. Located on the banks of the Bagmati River, it was constructed in the 5th century. There are approximately 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva), and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines) to explore. SAARC nationals can enter the temple without an entrance fee. While only Hindus are permitted inside the temple, visitors can observe the temple and its activities from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River.

Journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara (Drive, 200 KM)

Pokhara - 08:00 AM: After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a drive to Pokhara (approximately 7 hours). Visit the Manakamana Temple en route and continue the journey to Pokhara. Optionally, enjoy river rafting on the Trishuli River.

The Manakamana Temple is a short 10-minute cable car ride from the base station at Kurintar. Manakamana is revered as the goddess who fulfills wishes. It is located 104 KM from Kathmandu.

Sarangkot Sunrise and Pokhara Sightseeing

Sarangkot - 04:30 AM: Early morning drive to Sarangkot Hill for a sunrise view and a close-up of the Himalayan ranges.

10:00 AM: After breakfast, enjoy a half-day tour of David’s Fall, Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, Bindabasini Temple, and Phewa Lake. In the evening, you can also enjoy a boat ride on Phewa Lake.

David’s Falls: David’s Falls is a stunning waterfall in the Pokhara Valley, nearly 500 feet long and running 100 feet below ground level. It is also known as Patale Chhango, meaning underwater world. According to local lore, on July 31, 1961, a Swiss couple named Davi went swimming, but the woman drowned in a pit. Since then, the place has been known as David’s Falls.

Gupteswor Cave: Gupteswor Mahadev Cave, one of Nepal’s longest caves, is nearly 3 km long. Some walls inside the cave drip water, and about 40 meters in, there is a statue of Lord Shiva. Gupteswor Mahadev Cave is located near David’s Falls.

Return Drive to Kathmandu

Thamel - 08:00 AM: After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. Upon checking in at the hotel, enjoy a free evening to explore the Thamel tourist area on foot from your hotel. You can also shop around Thamel.

TIA - Enjoy free time until your flight. Transfer to the airport in time for your outbound flight (30-minute drive).
