Pass through charming Sherpa villages like Benkar and Monjo, where you’ll enter the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Thamserku (6,608 m) and glimpses of Everest, Lhotse, and Tawache along the way. After a steady climb through pine forests and across the iconic Hillary Bridge, you’ll reach Namche Bazaar, a bustling mountain town surrounded by majestic peaks. The 5–6 hour hike is filled with natural beauty, cultural encounters, and unforgettable Himalayan vistas — a perfect blend of challenge and charm on the Everest Base Camp trail.
Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar - 3-hour walk, 3 KM round trip
Irish Pub - Enjoy a full day off today for acclimatization. If it’s Saturday, explore the bazaar called Hat, where you might see many people shopping for their daily needs at the only market in the area. You can also visit a Sherpa Museum, which is a great place to learn about Sherpa culture and the history of mountaineering, or take a trip to the luxury Everest View Hotel and Syangboche airstrip before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Namche to Tyangboche - 5-hour walk, 5.9 KM
Tengboche - Enjoy a relatively easy walk today. The trek offers splendid views of the great snow peaks of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kwangde. Descend to the Imja Tse River at Phungi-Thanga, a small settlement with a couple of tea houses. The trail then leads uphill through a forested path of silver fir, blue pines, rhododendron, magnolia, and birch trees, reaching Tyangboche after a total of 4-5 hours of walking. This is one of the most beautiful places in the Himalayas. The first sight is the large monastery or Gumba, surrounded by fields with campsites, teahouses, and lodges nestled below the towering majestic summits of Ama Dablam, Everest, Mt. Lhotse, and Lhotse Shar.
Tyangboche to Dingboche (4,358 m/ 14,295 ft) – 6-hour walk, 9.1 KM
Dingboche - Today’s trek takes you through lush birch, fir, juniper, and rhododendron forests as you ascend towards Deboche (3,650 m), passing the iconic long mani wall along the way. Continue gradually uphill through Pangboche village before entering the scenic Imja Tse Valley, arriving at Dingboche after 4–5 hours of trekking. Dingboche offers panoramic views of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and the trekking favorite Island Peak (6,189 m). The village is a picturesque patchwork of stone-walled fields growing barley, buckwheat, and potatoes, protected from cold winds and grazing animals. With cozy tea houses and friendly locals, Dingboche serves as a gateway for adventurous routes to Chukung, Makalu region, and beyond via Sherpani Col (6,100 m) and Amphu Laptsa Pass (5,780 m). A perfect blend of natural beauty, Himalayan vistas, and Sherpa culture.
Acclimatization Day at Dingboche, 3-4 hour walk
Dingboche - Take a rest day to acclimatize in the Dingboche valley. You may choose to rest entirely or take a leisurely walk to Chukung (4,730 m), which is beneficial and takes approximately 3-4 hours from Dingboche towards the east within the Imja Tse Valley. Although the trek is gradual, you will feel the thin air as the altitude rises slowly towards Chukung. At Chukung, there are a few teahouses offering splendid views of the snow-capped summits and glaciers of Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Imja Glacier. Chukung dale is the best settlement in the eastern Khumbu region. After enjoying the views, return to Dingboche for an overnight stay.
Dingboche to Lobuche (4,928 m / 16,164 ft) - 5-hour walk, 6.5 KM
Lobuche - Today the trail veers towards the north. The path is a gradual ascent for about an hour until you reach a Mani-prayer stupa. From here, the trail is gentle on the hard terrain overlooking the Pheriche village, and today’s walk offers beautiful views of the superb mountains. After a pleasant walk through the lodge, we will reach Thukla. An hour’s steep climb brings you to the top, where you can view Mt. Pumori and other summits to the west of Everest. This spot is a good place for a short break after a tough ascent, and here you can also see several memorials of climbers who lost their lives during expeditions in the mountainous region. Our trek continues to Lobuche for an overnight stay.
Lobuche to Everest Base Camp to Gorakshep (5,160 m/16,929 ft) - 8-hour walk, 13 KM
Gorakshep - Today we’ll start early, walking towards Gorakshep. After a couple of hours on a windy and rocky path, we will reach Gorakshep for our overnight stop. This location offers beautiful views of Mt. Pumori, Mt. Nuptse, and other peaks, Everest Base Camp, Kalapathar, and the Gorakshep valley, including the top of Everest. After checking in at the hotel, our adventure continues towards Everest Base Camp (5,360m/ 17,598ft) and the Khumbu icefall. The path from Gorakshep can be misleading, so follow the lead Sherpa. Each year the trail changes due to glacier movements, and the walk is quite challenging due to the high altitude and thin air. The path passes through rocky dunes, moraines, and streams until you reach the camp. Everest Base Camp is lively during the high expedition season. It takes 2-3 hours to reach base camp, and after a memorable time there, we return to Gorakshep for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Hike to Kalapathar (5,550m/ 18,204ft) to Pheriche (4,200m/ 13,776ft) – 8-hour walk, 12 KM
Kala Patthar - Early morning, we begin the ascent to Kalapathar, which takes 2 hours at our own pace. Upon reaching the top, you will feel elated as you achieve the moment you have been anticipating since the start of the journey. The top of Kalapathar is a small rocky summit on the southwest ridge of Mt. Pumori. The view from here is beyond imagination, as Everest looks magnificent. The vistas from this spot are something to cherish, and you will feel it’s worth the effort. The Khumbu Glacier stretches below you, and you can also see Everest Base Camp below the moraine of Khumbu Glacier, along with many picturesque views. We return to Gorakshep for breakfast and then walk easily down to Pheriche for an overnight stay. It takes 4-5 hours to descend, and during the trek, you may encounter wind, so it’s better to start early. Pheriche has a Himalayas Rescue Association, which you can visit anytime after 3 pm. We stay overnight at a lodge or motel in Pheriche.
Trek to Tyangboche (3,867m/12,684ft) - 5-hour walk, 8.5 KM
Tengboche Gompa - Today’s trek is easy as we head downhill to lower altitudes from Pheriche. The walk is pleasant all the way to Tyangboche. After reaching Pangboche village, we continue down to Tyangboche, one of the most beautiful places in the Himalayas. The first sight is the large Gumba or Monastery, surrounded by fields with campsites, tea houses, and motels, below the towering grand peaks of Ama Dablam, Everest, Mt. Lhotse, and Lhotse Shar towards the northeast, with many peaks surrounding you.
Tyangboche to Namche (3,440m/11,284ft) – 5-hour walk, 5.9 KM
Namche Bazaar - Trek down to Phungithanka, where there is a small settlement with a couple of teahouses. The trail leads downhill through a forested path of silver fir, blue pines, rhododendron, and a few magnolias and birch trees, offering great memories. Cross the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, hike to Sasana, and return to Namche Bazaar for an overnight stay.

After walking for 7-8 hours, we arrive in Lukla, where you will have time to explore the area. The guides will reconfirm your air ticket, and we will enjoy a farewell dinner with the crew, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.
