• Kathmandu Valley - Visitors will discover the art of Nepali knife-making in Kathmandu, Nepal. The journey begins with a 15-20 minute drive from Thamel, our meeting point, to the Khukuri knife workshop in Kathmandu.

Participants will have the opportunity to sit alongside our khukuri master in the shop, gaining hands-on experience in crafting an authentic khukuri knife in Nepal. This includes techniques such as hammering the iron, grinding, buffing, and polishing.

Participants will acquire the skills necessary to create genuine khukuri knives in Nepal, involving processes like hammering, grinding, buffing, and polishing.

A brief 3-4 hour tour in Kathmandu offers an opportunity to engage with local artisans specializing in the craft of khukuri knife making.

Participants will delight in an authentic experience with a master knife-maker, enjoying Nepali tea and cookies in our Kathmandu workshop. The tour includes hands-on learning about grinding, hammering, buffing, and polishing the iron to create a khukuri knife.
