A guide will provide insights into the founding date, the concept behind its existence, and the physical objects within the premises. Enjoy lunch at a rooftop restaurant or a local eatery if desired.
• Pashupatinath Temple - Upon arrival at the temple premises, take a 10-minute walk to the cremation ground located on the banks of the Bagmati River. In this area, Hindu monks (Sadhu), astrologers, and priests perform their daily rituals. Families often conduct post-death ceremonies within the same vicinity. Hindu pilgrims from around the world visit this temple at least once in their lifetime. Explore the vibrant flower and offering markets for the main temple. Non-Hindus can view the temple from the main entrance and the terrace on the eastern side. The guide will explain the existence, significance, and background of Hinduism.
• Nagarkot - Travel from Boudhanath to Nagarkot in a private car for about 90 minutes, passing through rice terraces, local ethnic villages, medieval cities, and natural landscapes. Upon reaching Nagarkot, stop at a viewpoint to enjoy a sunset view. If the weather permits, the Himalayan mountain range can be seen. The viewpoint is approximately 2100 meters (6000 ft.) above sea level. Enjoy mountain views in a less crowded area before driving back to the pick-up point.
• Kathmandu Valley - Journey through the urban traffic of Kathmandu and then through the picturesque hillside landscape featuring terrace farming, military camps, and traditional Nepali villages for about 220 minutes. This is the estimated time required for transfer from one location to another until pick-up and drop-off. On the return trip, drive through Kathmandu’s main commercial avenue, including the parliament building.
