- Kathmandu - Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative will greet you at the arrival terminal and extend a warm welcome to Nepal. After collecting your luggage, you will be transported to your hotel in Kathmandu via a private vehicle.
Once checked in, take some time to relax and refresh. Later, meet your trekking guide for a brief on the Everest Base Camp Trek and a gear check. The guide will outline the itinerary, trekking conditions, safety measures, and what to anticipate during the journey.
In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant, where you can savor local cuisine and experience Nepalese hospitality. After dinner, return to the hotel for a restful night.
- Phakding - Early in the morning, embark on a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, taking in the stunning views of the Himalayan landscapes. Upon landing at Lukla Airport, meet your trekking crew, prepare your backpack, and start your trek toward Phakding.
The trail winds through small mountain settlements, lush hills, and picturesque valleys as you gradually enter the Everest region. Relish the tranquil surroundings and the initial views of the Himalayan landscape before reaching Phakding, where you will spend the night.
- Namche Bazaar - After breakfast at the teahouse, begin your trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, the main trading and gateway town of the Everest region. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, passing through pine forests, small Sherpa settlements, and several suspension bridges.
As you proceed toward Monjo, you will enter Sagarmatha National Park, where your permits will be checked. After Monjo, the trail gradually becomes steeper as you approach Namche Bazaar. You will cross several suspension bridges, including the renowned Hillary Suspension Bridge, before making the final uphill climb toward Namche.
Pause along the trail for lunch at a local teahouse and enjoy a warm meal while taking in the mountain scenery. After lunch, continue the uphill walk and eventually reach Namche Bazaar, a vibrant Sherpa town surrounded by mountains. Once there, check into your teahouse, rest, and explore the town if you still have energy.
- Namche Bazaar - Today is an acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, allowing your body time to adjust to the increasing altitude before continuing toward the higher parts of the Everest region. You do not need to stay in the teahouse all day; a short hike helps your body adapt better.
After breakfast, take a gentle hike to the Everest View Hotel, one of the best viewpoints around Namche. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Thamserku. You can also visit the nearby Syangboche area and explore the Sherpa culture and mountain lifestyle.
Return to Namche for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring the colorful streets, local shops, cafés, and bakeries. Stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity, and get plenty of rest for the next day.
- Tengboche - After breakfast, begin your trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche. The trail initially follows a scenic, relatively gentle path along the mountainside, offering beautiful views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse. You will pass through small settlements and peaceful rhododendron and pine forests before reaching Kyangjuma and continuing toward Phunki Tenga.
Stop for lunch at a local teahouse along the way and take some time to rest. After lunch, the trail becomes steeper as you climb through the forest toward Tengboche. The uphill section can feel challenging because of the increasing altitude, but the spectacular mountain scenery makes the effort worthwhile.
Upon reaching Tengboche, check into your teahouse and visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in the Everest region. If the weather is clear, enjoy the impressive views of Ama Dablam and the surrounding Himalayan peaks before settling in for the evening.
- Dingboche - After breakfast, leave Tengboche and continue your trek toward Dingboche, a beautiful mountain village in the upper Khumbu Valley. The trail descends through rhododendron and pine forests before reaching Deboche and crossing the Imja Khola.
Continue through Pangboche, one of the oldest settlements in the Everest region, with spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and other Himalayan peaks. Stop for lunch at a local teahouse along the trail before continuing toward Dingboche.
After lunch, the landscape gradually becomes more open and rugged as you gain altitude. You will pass through alpine terrain and small settlements before reaching Dingboche. Once you arrive, check into your teahouse, rest, and enjoy the surrounding mountain views.
- Dingboche - Today is another acclimatization day in Dingboche, giving your body time to adjust to the higher altitude before you continue toward Lobuche and Everest Base Camp. After breakfast, take a short hike around the valley and gradually gain some elevation while enjoying views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Island Peak.
You can hike toward Nangkartshang Peak or a nearby viewpoint, depending on your fitness and the weather. The hike provides excellent Himalayan views and helps your body adapt to the thin air. Return to Dingboche for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing, exploring the village, or preparing for the next day.
Stay hydrated, eat well, and get plenty of rest as you prepare for the higher elevations ahead.
- Lobuche - After breakfast, leave Dingboche and continue your trek toward Lobuche, entering the higher and more rugged part of the Everest region. The trail gradually climbs through the alpine landscape, with spectacular views of Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and other surrounding peaks.
You will pass through Duglha, where you can stop for lunch and take a short rest. From Duglha, the trail becomes steeper as you climb toward the Thukla Pass, where you will see memorial stones dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest and other Himalayan peaks.
After crossing the pass, continue along the rocky trail toward Lobuche. As you gain altitude, the air becomes thinner, so maintain a steady pace and stay hydrated. Once you reach Lobuche, check into your teahouse, relax, and prepare for the exciting trek toward Everest Base Camp.
- Gorakshep - Start early after breakfast and trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, following the rocky trail through the high-altitude landscape of the Khumbu region. The trail gradually climbs along the moraine, with spectacular views of Nuptse, Pumori, and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
After reaching Gorak Shep, take a short break and have lunch before continuing toward Everest Base Camp. From Gorak Shep, follow the rocky moraine trail toward the base camp, passing along the edge of the Khumbu Glacier. After reaching Everest Base Camp, spend some time enjoying the incredible surroundings and taking photographs before returning along the same trail to Gorak Shep.
Once back in Gorak Shep, check into your teahouse and rest after the challenging day. Prepare for the next morning’s helicopter flight back to Kathmandu.
- Kathmandu - Wake up early in the morning and begin the hike from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar, one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region. The early climb can be challenging because of the high altitude, but reaching the viewpoint at sunrise makes the effort worthwhile. From Kala Patthar, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, Lhotse, and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
After spending some time taking photographs and enjoying the sunrise, descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast. After breakfast, prepare for your helicopter flight back to Kathmandu. Enjoy spectacular aerial views of the mountains, glaciers, valleys, and villages as you leave the Everest region behind.
Upon landing in Kathmandu, a representative will transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring Kathmandu at your own pace.
