These flags stretch from all four corners, creating a vibrant display in the sky, while the aroma of incense fills the air. Visiting during prayer times offers a spiritually uplifting experience with the sounds of chimes and prayers. The stupa is surrounded by images of Buddhas and prayer wheels. Spanning 0.64 hectares, the complex is primarily dedicated to Lord Shiva, with other deities’ temples surrounding the main temple. Also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the central temple boasts a pagoda-style architecture with exquisite wooden carvings and two gold-covered roofs. A large bronze statue of a bull faces the main entrance of the temple. Beyond the temples, visitors can observe Sadhus performing daily rituals by the river and witness Hindu cremation ceremonies on platforms along the Holy Bagmati River.
