Arrival in Kathmandu

During this 30-minute drive, there will be an introductory session and a brief overview of the trek. From the window, you can observe the lively urban life of Kathmandu city. As you enter Thamel, the atmosphere changes with vibrant streets and the cultural essence of Kathmandu reflected in the architecture.
Drive to Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park - After breakfast, our vehicle will take you to Chitwan National Park (a 5-6 hour drive). In the evening, you will attend a Tharu cultural dance performance. After the one-hour dance show, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Canoeing and Walk to Madi Village
Chitwan National Park - 07:00 am: Begin the safari with a canoeing trip (using a dugout canoe made from a single tree trunk) accompanied by two guides and a paddler. Travel approximately 8 km along the Rapti River, where you may see two types of crocodiles basking on the riverbank, rhinos bathing, around 50 different colorful bird species, and possibly tigers and bears crossing the river. 11:30 am: Arrive at “Dumariya,” a renowned lake in the park known for sightings of rhinos, bears, Royal Bengal tigers, marsh mugger crocodiles, two types of monkeys, deer, wild pigs, and many colorful birds, along with a beautiful lake view. Enjoy a lunch break next to Dumariya Lake, sometimes with views of wildlife like rhinos, tigers, crocodiles, and birds. Spend approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours at the lake. 02:30 pm: Reach “Lami Lake,” famous for spotting Royal Bengal tigers, rhinos, sloth bears, and marsh mugger crocodiles, among other mammals. 04:00 pm: Visit the Crocodile Breeding Center, home to the critically endangered gharial species. Here, they breed, feed, and release baby crocodiles into the river, though only 1% survive in the wild. Spend about 20 minutes visiting the area, guided by a tour. Arrive at Bankatta, then walk to the village “Pandevnagar,” where you will stay overnight. Pandevnagar is a wildlife-rich village in Chitwan, where locals protect their land and crops from wildlife like wild elephants and rhinos. Stay in a small eco-cottage with basic amenities.
Search for Royal Bengal Tigers
Chitwan National Park - After a local breakfast, visit the Royal Bengal Tiger sighting area known as Tiger Top’s, famous for tiger sightings. This area is also known for two types of monkeys, sloth bears, rhinos, rare birds like the Great Hornbill and Trogon, wild elephants, Indian bison, common leopards, four types of deer, and the Asian rock python. Spend time at well-known spots to increase the chances of spotting Royal Bengal Tigers and other wildlife. In the evening, return to Pandavnagar for an overnight stay at the same cottage.
Jeep Safari Inside National Park
Chitwan National Park - After breakfast, explore the village and enter Chitwan National Park for a Jeep Safari. Drive deep into the park to discover wild animals, birds, reptiles, and more. With some luck, you may see rare animals like Bengal Tigers, sloth bears, and one-horned rhinos. In the evening, return to Sauraha for an overnight stay.
