Guided Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Pashupatinath Temple - Pashupatinath Temple, located on the banks of the Bagmati River, is one of the most important Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. While entry is restricted to Hindus, you can view the temple and its activities from the eastern bank of the river. This renowned square two-tiered pagoda temple is built on a single-tier plinth.
Boudhanath Stupa - Boudhanath is among the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. Constructed in the 5th century, it features four pairs of Lord Buddha’s eyes in four cardinal directions, symbolizing eternal vigilance over humanity. Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims can be seen circling the stupa, spinning prayer wheels.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square - Explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the Royal Residential Quarter of Bhupatindra Malla. Highlights include the five-storied Nyatapola Temple in pagoda style, Batsala Temple, Bhairavnath Temple, Duttatraya Temple, Pujari Muth, and the Palace of 55 Windows.
Morning Flight to Lukla (2,804 m), Trek to Phakding (2,610 m) – 3 hours
Phakding - Begin the day with an early morning flight from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla (2,804 m), a scenic 35-minute journey. Upon arrival, meet your guide and porters before embarking on a 3-hour trek to Phakding (2,610 m).
After landing, explore the village while the Sherpa crew organizes and loads the trekking equipment. The trek starts with a descent towards the Dudh Kosi River, joining the main trail to Namche Bazaar, just above Chaunrikharka (2,713 m). The walk is easy, and after passing through the small village of Ghat (2,550 m), Phakding is a short distance away.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m) – 6 hours
Namche Bazaar - The 5-hour trek follows the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing the river multiple times on thrilling suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, the trail ascends steeply, offering breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar, known as the “Gateway to Everest,” boasts quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange, internet cafes, and a bakery. Namche Bazaar (3,441 m) is one of the largest villages on the Everest trail.
Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day
Namche Bazaar - Spend a day in Namche to acclimatize to the high altitude. Enjoy a short trek to a museum showcasing the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. Hike up to Syangboche Airport near Everest View Hotel for rewarding views of the Himalayas, with stunning sunrises and sunsets over the Khumbu peaks.
Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3,860 m) – 5 hours
Tengboche - Continue trekking along the glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi, with magnificent mountain views. After 5 hours, reach Tengboche, home to a local monastery. Inside, admire the ornate wall hangings, a twenty-foot Buddha sculpture, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. Attend a prayer ceremony in the evening or morning, depending on the day’s trekking progress.
Trek to Dingboche (4,350 m) – 6 hours
Dingboche - From Tengboche, the trail descends to Debuche, crosses a suspension bridge over the Imja Khola, and ascends to Pangboche amidst thousands of mani stones. The uphill trek continues for six hours, leading to the charming traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche, with stunning views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam.
Trek to Chukhung (4,710 m) – 4 hours
Chukhung - A four-hour trek to Chukhung is essential for acclimatization before climbing Island Peak. The guide will provide crucial information about climbing Island Peak and the following day’s activities.
Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (5,240 m) – 4 hours
Imja Tse - Enjoy a short 4-hour trek to the Island Peak base camp. From today, accommodations will be in tented camps for the next two days, with meals prepared by a professional chef.
Rest and Acclimatization Day
Imja Tse - Spend a day acclimatizing to the thinning air. Take a short trek around the base camp to prepare for the 6,000 m adventure the following morning.
Summit to Island Peak (6,187 m) and Return to Chhukung (4,750 m) - 9 to 12 hours
Imja Tse - This is the main adventure day. Weather permitting, start early for the climb up Island Peak (6,187 m). After Camp 1, ascend through a gully and traverse to the right. Navigate a wide stone field, cross the ridge to the glacier and crevasses. After a successful summit, descend and return to Chhukung the same day.
Trek to Tengboche (3,860 m) – 6 hours
Tengboche - Retrace the route back to Tengboche (3,860 m), passing through Dingboche, Pangboche, and Diboche. The day’s trek takes six hours.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m) via Khumjung (3,780 m) – 5 hours
Namche Bazaar - Descend from Tengboche Monastery to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m), leaving the mountains behind. Arrive in Namche Bazaar in the afternoon after a 5-hour walk. Enjoy an evening of camaraderie with fellow trekkers over a delightful meal.
Trek to Lukla (2,804 m) – 5 hours
Lukla - Conclude the trek with a 5-hour return to Lukla (2,804 m), where the journey began. Reflect on the trek as a group and celebrate the personal achievements of all participants.
Morning Flight to Kathmandu from Lukla
Kathmandu - Enjoy a scenic thirty-five-minute flight back to Kathmandu, offering a final glimpse of the mountains recently climbed. Upon arrival, return to the hotel in Kathmandu.
Leisure Day in Kathmandu
Kathmandu - Explore the many attractions in Kathmandu and its surroundings, such as the Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure, Kathmandu Shopping Tour, or Scenic Everest Flight. This day also serves as a buffer in case of bad weather in Lukla.
In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances.

If you are seeking the thrill of adventure and wish to widen your experience towards peak climbing, this is the mountain for you.
We head for Island Peak Climbing after the essential climbing practice course which is briefed and instructed by our Climbing Sherpa on various aspects of climbing techniques. Your historical effort to summit the peak will be rewarded with probably one of the best panoramic views in the world as you feel Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Makalu are almost touching the tip of your nose. Descending with a sense of achievement, our route takes us into many cultural sites, such as Pangboche, a traditional Sherpa village Tengboche famous for its ornately decorated Tibetan monasteries and Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa Capital and cultural center of Khumbu.
