Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft) Transfer to Hotel and Trek Preparation
Kathmandu - Upon arrival, a representative will greet the Operator at the airport and escort them to the hotel. After checking in, the Operator will meet the trek leader and fellow team members, followed by a briefing on the upcoming adventure. Any questions can be clarified at this time. The Operator can check their gear, do some last-minute shopping, or take a stroll through Thamel, a popular tourist hub.
Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,561ft) Duration: 35-minute flight, 3-4 hours (8 km) trek
Lukla - Due to updated regulations and upgrades at the domestic airport in Kathmandu, flights to Lukla will likely operate from Manthali Airport in Ramechhap District.
This involves a four-hour drive from Kathmandu during the night. The flight from Manthali departs early in the morning and takes 20 minutes.
The Operator will catch the mountain flight to Lukla, enjoying stunning views of the Himalayas, meet the Sherpas, and begin the trek to Phakding.
The mountain flight into Lukla is spectacular, and the landing is an exciting start to the trek—one end of the runway is 60m (197ft) higher than the other. The flight is on a small Dornier / Twin Otter aircraft, with a flight duration of generally around 25–30 minutes.
Phakding - The Operator will walk through Chauri Kharka village and descend towards the Dudh Koshi river. The scenic trail follows the riverbank until Phakding (2,610m), a small Sherpa village nestled in the verdant Dudh Koshi Valley. En route, there is a glimpse of Khumbila, a sacred peak worshipped by the Sherpas. This is one of the few unclimbed peaks in the Khumbu region, as no one is allowed to step on this sacred peak.
If not too tired, the Operator can stroll around the village and interact with the locals or head to one of the cafes to enjoy a hot brew or a drink. Overnight in Phakding.
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m/11,284ft) Walking Distance: 6-7 hours (10.5 km) trek
Namche Bazaar - The Operator sets off to Namche Bazaar, better known as the “Sherpa capital” of Nepal. The track crosses over the milky glacial river of Dudh Koshi, walking above a suspension bridge and through beautiful pine forest up to Monjo. Several suspension bridges are crossed, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge! Permits should be ready for a check after approaching the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park.
The trek continues further down alongside the Dudh Koshi River up to Jorsale, where lunch is enjoyed. After some rest, there is a bit of a tough climb up the hill until Namche Bazaar, the economic hub of the Everest Region. The Operator should brace themselves as they catch the first glimpse of Mount Everest in all its glory from a vantage point known as Tope Danda. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
First Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,284ft) Walking Distance: 4-5 hours (6 km) trek
Namche Bazaar - It is time to acclimatize at Namche Bazaar itself. Exploring Namche Bazaar is recommended, as this town hosts numerous wifi-linked cafes and restaurants, souvenir and gear shops. There are several hiking options, such as visiting Hillary School, Sherpa settlement, Syangboche Airport, and yak farms. If passionate about Everest, the Operator should not miss hiking up to Everest View Hotel, from where breathtaking views of Mt. Everest can be caught.
Hotel Everest View - Hidden on a ridge overlooking the Everest range, Hotel Everest View is a remarkable establishment that blends gracefully with its spectacular surroundings.
Situated within the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park in Nepal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the hotel offers a 360-degree view of the awe-inspiring peaks. With a view of Mt. Everest from every room, visitors can immerse in this mesmerizing scene in luxury.
Syangboche Airport - Syangboche Airport is a domestic airport located in Namche Bazaar serving Solukhumbu District, a district in Province No. 1 in Nepal. The airstrip is the closest airstrip to Mount Everest and Everest Base Camp. However, it is not often used by those going to either, as this is generally not viewed as consistent with safe, reasonably paced elevation acclimatization. Rather, typical users of this airstrip are tourists who plan on visiting a nearby hotel and going no higher, or those who plan only on going to Namche Bazaar.
Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,860m/12,661ft) Walking Distance: 5-6 hours (10 km) trek
Tyangboche - Today’s trail offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kwangde are some of the Himalayan giants the Operator will see while trekking. The walk through juniper and rhododendron forests with the giant peaks looming overhead makes this a memorable hike.
Today’s trek ends at the Sherpa village of Tengboche. A close view of Ama Dablam, renowned as one of the most beautiful peaks in the world, can be enjoyed from Tengboche. Tengboche Monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region, looms over the village.
The Operator can visit the monastery and feel the calmness of the place descend over them, listening to the trance-inducing hum and chants of the monks. Moreover, the golden rays of the sun brushing over the snowy mountains, including Ama Dablam and Thamserku, during sunrise and sunset is not to be missed. Overnight in Tengboche.
Tengboche Gompa - Tengboche Monastery, also known as Dawa Choling Gompa, in the Tengboche village in Khumjung in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal, is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Sherpa community. Situated at 3,867 metres, the monastery is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region of Nepal.

Second Acclimatization Day at Dingboche (4,410m/14,465ft) Walking Distance: 4-5 hours (4.5 km) trek
Dingboche - A day off is taken in Dingboche to acclimatize to the high altitude. A popular stop for trekkers and climbers headed to Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, or ImjaTse, there is a lot to do here.
After breakfast, an acclimatization hike to Nagarjun Hill (5,100m), which lies close to the village, is undertaken. It is an upward hike with no technical sections. There may be some loose rocks, and the Operator may have to watch their step while scrambling on some sections. But no technical climbing is required, and apart from the altitude, there is nothing to worry about.
Named after a Buddhist hermitage that lies on the hill, Nangkatshang or Nagarjun is one of the best viewpoints in the Khumbu region. Incredible 360-degree views of Makalu, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kantega, Thamserku, etc., can be enjoyed. The best views are of Ama Dablam (one can see the whole mountain, from the base to the summit) and Island Peak. A close-up view of the Imja glacier can also be obtained from here.
The Operator can take rest or stroll around the village.
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m/16,105ft) Walking Distance: 5-6 hours (8 km) trek
Lobuche - Today, the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. The climb continues as the trek heads to the village of Lobuche, which is located at the foot of the giant Lobuche peak. Some breathing problems may arise today due to the altitude.
Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,140m/16,860ft) and visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,594ft)
Lobuche - For travelers moving towards Everest Base Camp, Lobuche Village is the small settlement in their way and serves as the last night stopover for them. It is a famous stop among the locals as well as foreign trekkers who try to reach Everest Base through the southern route. From here, they can make a further stop at Gorak Shep for lodging and enjoy the hiking of nearby Kala Patthar peak for an exclusive view of Everest, as the actual shape of Everest is such that it is not visible from Everest Base Camp.
Gorakshep - Gorak Shep or Gorakshep is a small settlement that sits on the edge of a frozen lakebed covered with sand in Nepal, with the same name. It is found at an elevation of 5,164 metres (16,942 ft), near Mount Everest. The village is not inhabited year-round.
Even though trekking lodges at Gorak Shep are basic, in recent times more modern amenities have become available, such as satellite high-speed internet access.
Everest Base Camp - There are two base camps on Mount Everest, on opposite sides of the mountains: South Base Camp is in Nepal at an altitude of 5,364 metres (17,598 ft) (28°0′26″N 86°51′34″E), while North Base Camp is in Tibet, China at 5,150 metres (16,900 ft) (28°8′29″N 86°51′5″E).
The base camps are rudimentary campsites at the base of Mount Everest that are used by mountain climbers during their ascent and descent; they are also visited by hikers. South Base Camp is used when climbing via the southeast ridge, while North Base Camp is used when climbing via the northeast ridge.
Hike to Kala Patthar (5,550m/18,204ft) and descend to Pheriche (4,240m/13,908ft) Walking Distance: 6-7 hours (12 km) trek
Kala Patthar - After breakfast, the trek heads towards Kala Patthar, the most popular viewpoint in the Everest Region. Kala Patthar is the highest point of the trek at 5,550 meters. Since the summit of Mount Everest is not visible from Everest Base Camp, trekkers usually hike to Kala Patthar to get a close-up view of the world’s tallest peak.
Kala Patthar is surrounded by icy walls of Mount Pumori, Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse. A 360-degree view of these Himalayan giants can be enjoyed. The fiery rays of the sun lighting the rocky pinnacle of Mount Everest can be watched from atop Kala Patthar. Later, the trek returns to Gorak Shep and heads down towards Pheriche. Overnight in Pheriche.
Pheriche - Dughlha Road - Pheriche is a village in eastern Nepal in the Khumbu region at an altitude of 4,371m above sea level. This beautiful village is famous amongst climbers and trekkers. Trek from Pheriche to Namche (3,440m/11,284ft) Walking Distance: 7-8 hours (19 km) trek
Pheriche - It is comparatively an easy downhill trek from Pheriche to Tengboche. After an hour of scaling a hill, by late afternoon the Operator will reach Namche Bazaar. The Operator can soak in the experiences and take a good night’s rest. Overnight in Namche.

In Lukla, the Operator can celebrate their conquest! This would officially be the last night in the mountains. The Operator is sure to experience the joy and celebrate the bonds that have been made. Overnight in Lukla.
Lukla to Kathmandu
Kathmandu - The successful trek concludes today. The Operator wakes up early to bid a very fond farewell to the spectacular scenery of the Khumbu before boarding the morning flight back to Kathmandu. Watching the Himalayas pass beneath the window, the Operator will now be able to recognize many of the significant peaks. After the mountains’ solitude, the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu may come as something of a surprise. The Operator will be transferred to the hotel to spend the rest of the day at leisure; they are free to relax or explore the local markets. There are plenty of great restaurants in Thamel where dinner can be enjoyed before returning to the hotel to spend the night.
Farewell and Departure
Kathmandu - The Operator bids goodbye to Kathmandu and heads to the airport. They will be transferred to the international airport well on time to catch their flight. If they want to extend their stay, they can let the team know, and further plans into the Himalayas can be arranged.
