The scenic trail follows the riverbank until Phakding (2,610m), a small Sherpa village nestled in the lush Dudh Koshi Valley. In a perfect world, most individuals would relish the chance to perch atop Mount Everest, a staggering 8,848 meters above sea level. But let’s face it, that feat is out of reach for many of us! That said, with a physically robust body and a relentless drive to conquer, making it to the Everest Base Camp is well within your grasp! In my opinion, the most awe-inspiring vistas of Everest can be experienced from Kalapatthar, without the need to expend weeks toiling towards the peak.
This adventure is truly one for the bucket list; it’s by no means a lavish getaway.
Provided is twin-sharing accommodation, along with optional paid amenities such as hot showers, wifi, and electric sockets. Even though the accommodations lack opulence, where else can you wake up to mesmerizing views of the Himalayas outside your window?
Treat your tastebuds to authentic Himalayan dishes available at the teahouses encountered on your journey.
Physical fitness is an essential prerequisite. Nevertheless, we’ll ensure your acclimatization to the high altitudes progresses smoothly. Hydration is key during your trek, and we recommend keeping alcohol intake to a minimum.
