Arrival at Kathmandu (1,360 m/ 4,461 ft) and transfer to hotel.

Kathmandu - Your exciting journey to Nepal begins as you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. A representative from Life Himalaya will warmly greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel using our private vehicle.

After checking in at the hotel, take some time to relax until the meeting. In the evening, we will gather at the head office for a trip briefing and discussion. The meeting time will be communicated upon your arrival at the hotel.

Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,810 m/ 9,219 ft) and trek to Phakding (2,640 m/ 8,661 ft). (14 km, 4-5 hr)

Tenzing-Hillary Airport - We embark on an early morning flight to the Tenzing Hillary airstrip in Lukla, situated at an altitude of 2810 meters. Lukla serves as the primary gateway to the Everest trekking region and is a picturesque mountain town. Upon arrival, we meet our trekking crew and begin our trek through stunning landscapes towards the village of Ghat.

After enjoying lunch at Ghat, we descend gently for about an hour to the quaint village of Phakding, located on the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. We will spend the night at a tea house in Phakding.

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440 m/ 11,286 ft). (12 km, 5-6 hr)

Rest and Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar.

Hotel Everest View - At an elevation of 3440 meters, it’s important to spend an extra day here for acclimatization. This is a crucial part of the Everest Base Camp trek as we ascend to higher altitudes in the Himalayas.

Today, we will hike to a higher elevation towards the Everest View Hotel, the highest-altitude luxury hotel in the world, to enjoy close-up views of Mt. Amadablam and panoramic vistas of the world’s tallest mountains, including Mt. Everest. After lunch, we return to Namche Bazaar for an overnight stay.

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3870 m/ 12,696 ft). (10 km, 5-6 hr)

Tengboche Gompa - Our day begins with breakfast at the tea house. Our destination is Tengboche, approximately five hours from Namche Bazaar. We ascend through a beautiful uphill trail towards Tengboche village. Tengboche is a magnificent village in the Everest region, renowned for its close views of the world’s highest mountains and the oldest and largest spiritual Buddhist Tengboche monasteries.

Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/ 14,304). (10.8 km, 4-5 hr)

Pangboche - Today’s trek to Dingboche will take around four to five hours. We continue our walk following the Imja Khola, crossing a bridge to reach Orsho, where the paths to Pheriche and Dingboche diverge. Following the Lobuche River, we proceed towards Dingboche.

Dingboche is a charming village situated at an elevation of 4360 meters. Upon arrival, we check into a guest house and enjoy the serene mountain atmosphere.

Acclimatization day at Dingboche.

Dingboche - At this high altitude, another acclimatization day is necessary. We pause at Dingboche to ensure proper altitude acclimatization and remain active on this high-altitude trek. Dingboche village offers side excursions, and we will hike towards Nakarjun Hill before returning to Dingboche for rest. Today’s hike provides some of the most spectacular views of the Himalayas from a different perspective. Overnight stay at a tea house in Dingboche.

Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940 m/ 16,207 ft). (11 km, 6-7 hr)

Lobuche - After a rest day in Dingboche, our trekking day begins with a morning walk through incredible mountain landscapes and breathtaking Himalayan views. Our gentle walk leads us to Thugla, a perfect spot for lunch. Today’s trek brings us closer to the enchanting Everest Base Camp.

Our trail then joins Thulga Pass, where stone memorials honor climbers who lost their lives while climbing Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and other high peaks. A pleasant walk brings us to Lobuche.

Trek Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m/ 16,961 ft) & trek to Everest Base camp (5,363 m/ 17,595 ft). (8 km, 5-6 hr)

Everest Base Camp - Today marks the most thrilling and adventurous day of our Everest Base Camp Trek. Our long-awaited goal is finally within reach. Today’s walk leads us to our main destination, Everest Base Camp.

After traversing the Khumbu glacial path, we arrive at Gorakshep, where we check into a guest house and leave our belongings before heading to Everest Base Camp. After lunch, we begin our walk to the world’s highest base camp. We savor our time at the base camp before returning to Gorakshep.

Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545 m/ 18,192 ft) and trek to Pheriche (4,280 m/ 14,041 ft). (18 km, 6-7 hr)

Kala Patthar - Today, we reach the highest elevation of the trip. Our day starts early as we hike to Kala Patthar for breathtaking views of Mt. Everest and other mountains, along with an incredible sunrise over the Himalayas.

We descend to Gorakshep for breakfast. Afterward, we leave the guest house and begin our downhill trek to the beautiful village of Pheriche.

Trek from Pheriche to Phroste village 3810m/12500ft

Pangboche - Today, we trek down to Pangboche and take a less crowded route to Phorste village. Along the way, you’ll enjoy different views of Amadablam, Thamserku, and the Tengboche monastery. Today’s trek is a delightful walk on a mostly downhill trail, passing through the beautiful villages of Pangboche and the stunning Himalayan landscapes of the Khumbu region. We will appreciate the natural and cultural wonders of the Sherpa village of Phorste.

Trek from Phorste to Monjo 2835m 5-6 hours

Namche Bazaar - After breakfast, we trek down to the river from Gokyo Lake, connecting to the Gokyo trail at Phorste Thanga 3680m, then trek up to Mong Danda. Enjoy every moment of the less crowded route in the Everest region as we pass through the beautiful Namche Bazaar, trek down to Hilary Bridge, and reach Monjo village. The landscape, suspension bridges, and the vast Dudh Koshi River are highlights of the day.

Monjo to Lukla 2840m

Lukla - After breakfast, we retrace our steps along the same route, passing Toktok, Phakding, Ghat, and Cheeplung 2650m, with the last 200 meters leading up to Lukla. With the EBC trek completed, enjoy the evening in Lukla and celebrate the trek’s success.

Lukla - Today, we take an early flight back to Kathmandu, bidding farewell to the Everest region. Upon arrival at the hotel and check-in, the rest of the day is free for leisure activities. You may choose to explore Kathmandu, shop for souvenirs, enjoy a trekker’s massage, or simply wander around.

In the evening, Life Himalaya will host a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant, complete with cultural dance, to celebrate the successful completion of our journey.

Final Departure

TIA - Today marks the final day in Nepal. A Life Himalaya representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight, offering warm greetings and hospitality with hopes of seeing you again.
