PARO (1-hour flight via Druk Air), drive 54km (2 hours) to Thimphu

Paro - Transfer to the airport and fly to Paro. Experience a breathtaking descent through the mountainous valleys into the Kingdom of Bhutan. Upon arrival in Paro, a Bhutanese guide will greet you, and after completing customs and visa procedures, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive along the valley to reach Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu. After lunch at a local restaurant, embark on a sightseeing tour, visiting the Textile Museum, a traditional paper-making factory, and the Post Office to admire Bhutan’s beautiful stamps that illustrate the country’s myths and traditions. Alternatively, you can opt for a more informal tour and explore the town with your guide. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Lunch, Welcome Dinner

THIMPHU – TAKTSANG – PARO

Tashichho Dzong (Thimphu Dzong) - In the morning, drive to Satsam Chorten and hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, which is built around a cave where Guru Rimpoche (also known as Guru Padmasambhava) meditated. According to legend, Guru Rimpoche flew to the monastery site on the back of a tigress from Tibet and meditated in the cave for three months. The monastery was rebuilt after a devastating fire in April 1998. Although the monastery is not open to the public, the view from afar is worth the steep 1.5-hour walk up a wide mountain path. After lunch, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Farewell Dinner

PARO – Departure (via Druk Air)

Kathmandu - After breakfast, a Bhutanese agent will accompany you to Paro Airport and bid you farewell. Meals: Breakfast

Important Note for Bhutan Tour

According to the new protocol, travelers must present either a fully vaccinated card or a negative PCR report taken within 24 hours to enter Bhutan. Passport-sized photos and a scanned copy of the passport are required to apply for a visa. Flights to and from Kathmandu are available every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
