Travel to Pokhara (820m), overnight hotel stay
Lakeside Road - Typically, travelers take a tourist bus or private vehicle to Pokhara, enjoying views of cultivated lands and mountains such as Ganesh Himal and Manaslu along the way. Alternatively, a flight to Pokhara offers stunning views of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Rolwaling ranges. Transfer to a hotel in Pokhara.
Drive to Nayapul - Trek to Ghandruk (1950m), 4/5 hours
Old Gurung Museum - After breakfast, a private vehicle will transport guests to Nayapul in about an hour and a half. The trek begins here, following a flat trail to Seuli Bazaar. At Birethati, cross the Modi Khola Bridge and take the right trail along the Modi River towards Ghandruk or Annapurna Sanctuary. The path passes through charming villages, waterfalls, and cultivated lands. Ghandruk, a renowned Gurung village, offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail) and features a traditional Gurung museum. Visitors can explore the museum for a small fee. While a motor road to Ghandruk exists, it is rough.
Trek to Chhomrong (2210m), 4/5 hours
Chhomrong - The trek continues through Ghandruk, leading to the traditional Gurung village of Kumrong Danda, offering new vistas. Descend to a small river, then ascend to Kimrong and Dhiklyo Danda, where the trail from Ghorepani – Tadapani joins. The region is predominantly Gurung, with a strong Buddhist cultural and religious influence. Upon reaching Chhomrong, enjoy refreshing views of the mountains and village.
Trek to Bamboo (2310m), 6 hours
Ghandruk - Descend to the end of Chhomrong village, cross the Chhomrong River, and ascend through small settlements and forests of oak, rhododendron, and bamboo. The last lodge is at Sinuwa, with Bamboo as the next stop. Ensure sufficient drinking water and snacks, as the trail can be steep, slippery, and rocky. The sound of the Modi River accompanies the trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Bamboo is the destination for the night.
Trek to Deurali (3140m), 6 hours
Deurali - The journey to Deurali passes through forests inhabited by wildlife, including langur monkeys. Follow the Modi River, experiencing tranquility along the way, and pass through Dovan (2500m) and Himalaya (2840m) settlements with tourist lodges. The trek concludes with a crossing of an avalanche area to reach Deurali.
Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m), 2 hours - Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) 2 hours
Machhapuchhare - Due to avalanche risks, it is advised to inquire about conditions upon reaching Deurali or from returning trekkers. The path traverses an avalanche zone, passing through bamboo, sparse birch forests, and moraine to reach Machhapuchhare Base Camp (MBC). After a break for refreshments, continue to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), offering 360-degree views of the Annapurna Mountains.
Trek to Bamboo (2310m) 6/7 hours
Annapurna Base Camp Trek - Some trekkers opt to stay overnight at MBC and trek to Annapurna Base Camp early the next morning for photos and breakfast before returning to Bamboo the same day.
Trek to Jhinu (1780m), 5 hours
Chhomrong - Retrace the path to Chhomrong – Talung, then descend to Jhinu Danda hot spring. Enjoy a relaxing hot spring experience at Jhinu.
Trek to Pothana (1900m), 6 hours
Trek to Ghatte Khola 2 hours and drive 40 minutes to Pokhara
Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake) - A short trek from Pothana to Ghatte Khola takes about two hours, offering dramatic views of the Annapurna Himalayas and culturally rich villages. In autumn, the landscape is adorned with golden paddy fields and lush green hills. A private vehicle will be ready at Ghatte Khola to transport guests back to Pokhara, where they can refresh, have lunch, and enjoy sightseeing at Fewa Lake.
Return to Kathmandu
Thamel - Travelers typically return to Kathmandu by tourist bus or private vehicle, enjoying scenic views and an adventurous drive. Alternatively, flights are available, offering mountain views of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Rolwaling ranges. Transfer to a hotel in Kathmandu.
Departure
