- Kathmandu - Enjoy a full day of sightseeing around Kathmandu, exploring its UNESCO World Heritage sites. In the evening, attend a dinner and trek briefing.
- Khudi Bridge - Begin your journey into the hills along a winding road by the Trishuli River. Admire terraced farms and charming huts along the way. After reaching Mugling, continue towards Pokhara. At Dumre, leave the previous trail and head north to Besisahar. A short drive from Besisahar brings you to Khudi, the starting point of the trek. Alternatively, disembark at Besisahar and trek for an hour to reach Khudi along a wide trail. Khudi offers a first glimpse of the stunning Manaslu range.
- मर्स्याङ्दी गाँउपालिकाको कार्यालय - Depart Sirung for Jagat on a relatively easy trail. Leave behind the village terraces and enter forests, ferns, and woodlands. Spot various birds along the forest trail. Pass through several small villages and a few temples. Cross a suspension bridge over Sangu Khola at Mipra, then another at Syange over the Marshyangdi River. A waterfall is nearby the bridge. The trail follows the mighty Marshyangdi River, crossing another bridge before reaching Jagat.
- Khudi Bazaar - The first day’s walk includes crossing suspension bridges and waterfalls, with several ascents and descents through rice paddies and subtropical forests. The walk starts gradually but becomes steeper. The mountains visible from Khudi appear much closer now. Before reaching Sirung village, pass through the ethnic Tamang settlement of Taranche. Enjoy close-up views of Nadi Chuli and Manaslu mountains from Sirung.
- Jagat - From Sirung to Jagat, pass through picturesque villages like Kharka and Nauli Gaon, offering insights into the local life and culture of the Manang people. The trail follows the Marshyangdi River Valley, providing stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lush vegetation. Experience a transition from lower subalpine forests with rhododendrons to drier landscapes with juniper trees as you gain altitude. Encounter cascading waterfalls and cross thrilling suspension bridges along the trail.
- Dharapani - After breakfast, begin the trek from Jagat. The trail descends to the river and continues through a lush forest. Further ascent leads to a sharp-edged cliff facing the riverbank. Chyamje appears amidst the glorious backdrop of towering Annapurna mountain ranges. After crossing a suspension bridge, climb steeply towards the challenging path to Sattale. Navigate rock-strewn trails to descend to a grassy riverbank leading to Tal. As you leave Tal, the path becomes rugged and winding. Approach the steeply-forested village of Karte. Meander along waterfalls and cliffs to finally reach Dharapani after crossing a suspension bridge.
- Chame - Walk through forested ridges on the way to Chame, the headquarters of the Manang District. Admire amazing views of the Himalayas, including Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV (7,525m/24,688ft). Encounter small hot springs where you can relax and soothe your muscles.
- Yak Kharka - From Manang village, the trail crosses a stream, climbs to Tenki village, and continues out of the Marshyangdi Valley, turning northwest up the Jarsang Khola valley. The trail follows this valley northward, passing pastures and juniper trees, steadily gaining elevation. Pass near the small village of Ghunsa, a cluster of flat mud roofs below the trailhead. The trail goes through meadows where horses and yaks graze. After crossing a small river on a wooden bridge, pass an ancient Mani wall in a pleasant meadow and reach the small village of Yak Kharka.
- Manang - Follow the trail to Upper Pisang via Geru, offering excellent views of the beautiful landscape and mighty mountains, including Annapurna and Pisang. Notice a contrast in the landscape and vegetation. The cold and dry climate creates a harsher environment. A short visit to Barge monastery, the largest in the Manang district, will be memorable.
- Chame - A steep and narrow path through a dense forest leads to a dramatic curved rock face, rising 1500m from the river. This is the steepest part of the Marshyangdi Valley, with the trail carved into the vertical rock. After passing this rock, the valley opens up with majestic vistas. The Paungda Danda, a massive sloping rock face, rises over 5,000ft (1500m) above the trail. Trek for a while before reaching Lower Pisang for the night.
- Thorong La Pass - Walk uphill to Thorang Phedi. After some time, cross a suspension bridge to reach Ledar village. Ascend further, passing towering cliffs to reach Thorang Phedi, the last village before Thorong La pass. Enjoy one of the best views of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak, and Mt. Khatungkan. “Phedi” in Nepalese means the foot of a mountain.
- Pokhara Lakeside - From Tatopani, descend steeply through a dense forest. This trek passes through a thick forest of old rhododendron trees. When in bloom, these forests transform into beautiful gardens. Depending on the season, enjoy cherry blossoms on the slopes across the ravine. After trekking a few more minutes, enter the village of Ghandruk, a slope settlement with stone houses inhabited by the Gurung people. Enjoy stunning views of Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli mountains. Continue the trek to Nayapul, then drive to Pokhara.
- Manang - To stay fit for the trails ahead, take a short hike to Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake. If energetic, hike to Vraga Village to visit the Himalayan Rescue Association and learn about Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS).
- Tatopani Hot Spring - Journey from Muktinath to Tatopani Hot Springs. The trek is mostly downhill. Early in the trek, cross the bridge at Ghasa. As you descend to lower elevations, re-enter subtropical forests lush with vegetation. The trail continues along Rupse Chahara (waterfall). Continue down the east bank from Kopchepani via Garpar to a bridge at Dana. At Narchyang Besi, see a powerhouse supplying electricity to the area. Larger villages in this area offer a glimpse into local life. Upon reaching Tatopani, relax and enjoy a bath in the hot spring.
- Muktinath Temple - Crossing Thorong La pass, one of the world’s highest passes, is the ultimate goal today. Cross the pass from east to west (Manang to Muktinath), the easiest and safest direction. Start around three in the morning and ascend the mountain. Upon reaching the top, the journey proves worthwhile. Take photos before heading to Muktinath Valley at the foot of the Thorong La pass.
