Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (884m) by Tourist Bus
Pokhara - After enjoying breakfast, the journey to Pokhara begins, which is 200 km away from Kathmandu, via a tourist bus. Lunch is taken during this six-hour bus ride. The night is spent at a guesthouse in Pokhara.
Drive to Nayapul from Pokhara, and then Trek to Ulleri (2073m) (1 hour drive, 4-5 hrs trek)
Ulleri - The drive from Pokhara to Nayapul takes about an hour. The trek starts here. After a brief walk along the Modi River, Birethani is reached. Numerous small teahouses line the route. After passing through a village, the climb to Hille and then to Tikhedhunga begins. A steep ascent leads to Ulleri, a large Magar village, which presents a challenge.
Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2856m) - Trek 5-6 hrs
Ghorepani - From Ulleri, the trail gently ascends through rhododendron and oak forests to Banthanti. After a couple of hours, Ghorepani is reached. Staying in Ghorepani is popular for the Poonhill hike, offering a breathtaking sunrise and panoramic mountain views.
Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani (2625m) - Sunrise Poon Hill trip (2 hrs) - Trek 4-5 hrs
Poon Hill - The day starts with a short hike to Poonhill, the best viewpoint on the trail and a photographer’s dream. A 45-minute walk leads to the top of the hill at 3210m. Afterward, breakfast is enjoyed back in Ghorepani.
Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong (2020m) - Trek 5-6 hrs
Tadapani - After breakfast in Tadapani, the trek descends gradually through rhododendron forests, crosses the Kimsung River, and ascends to the Gurung village of Gurjung. From there, a direct climb leads to Chhomrong, a picturesque village nestled in the Annapurna.
Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2580m) - Trek 4-5 hrs
Sinuwa - Stone steps from Chhomrong lead down to Chhomrong Khola, where a suspension bridge is crossed. A steep climb follows to Sinuwa. After a short walk through the jungle and an easy descent, Bamboo is reached. Passing through the damp bamboo forest, a steep descent leads to Dovan, at the bottom of a gorge.
Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3230m) - Trek 4-5 hrs
Deurali - The trek from Dovan to Himalaya is quiet, respecting a temple along the way. The route starts with bamboo forests, transitions to rhododendron forests, and features many waterfalls. Upon reaching Himalaya, clearings and glacial rivers appear as the trail ascends to Hinku cave. A short walk leads to a descent to the river, followed by an ascent to Deurali, offering exotic valley views.
Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)(4131m) - Trek 5-6 hrs
Machhapuchhare - From Deurali, the trail crosses a riverbed, and after a challenging climb, Machhapuchhre Base Camp is reached. Surrounded by mountains, the views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, Himchuli, and others are rewarding. The path to ABC is wider with sparse vegetation. Caution is advised due to avalanche risks. From MBC, mountain views become clearer. Annapurna Base Camp offers breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks, including the Annapurna range, Singuchuli, Macchhapuchhre, Tent Peak, and more.
Trek from ABC back to Sinuwa (2340m) - Trek 6-7 hrs
Annapurna Base Camp Trek - After witnessing a stunning sunrise from ABC, the return journey follows the same trail through MBC, Deurali, Himalaya, and Bamboo back to Sinuwa. The mostly downhill trail is an easy walk.
Trek from Sinuwa to Jhinu Hill(2170m) - Trek 6-7 hrs - visit hot spring 2 hrs
Chhomrong - The village is spread across a hillside with breathtaking views of the Annapurnas and Machupachare. Lunch is enjoyed in Chhumrung.
Trek from Jhinu Hill to Nayapul (1070m), and then Drive back to Pokhara(884m) - Trek 5-6 hrs - Drive 1 hr
Jhinu Danda - A natural hot spring with ponds for bathing is located beside the Modi River, about a 20-minute walk from the hotel in Jhinu Danda.
Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara (884m) - 6-7 hrs drive tourist bus
Malekhu - A 30-minute lunch break is taken. Malekhu is renowned for its variety of fish species and products.
Transfer to Kathmandu International Airport by private vehicle normally before 3 hrs
Pashupatinath Temple - The drive passes by Pashupatinath Temple, where a brief stop for photos is possible.
