Full Day Sightseeing of Pokhara Valley and Sunset from Peace Pagoda
Davi’s Falls Pokhara - After breakfast, an English-speaking guide will pick guests up from their hotel to begin a full day of sightseeing in the Pokhara valley. The tour includes visits to Gupteshwor Cave, Davis Falls, Seti Gorge, and the International Mountain Museum.
Davis Falls
Also referred to as Patale Chhango, this waterfall is where the Pardi Khola stream disappears underground. During the monsoon season, the sound of the water cascading over the falls is thunderous. The falls are located about 2km southwest of the airport on the road to Butwal, just before the Tashi Ling Tibetan camp.
According to local legend, the name is a variation of David’s Falls, named after a Swiss visitor who tragically fell into the sinkhole and drowned, along with his girlfriend.
Gupteswar Gupha - Gupteswar Mahadev Cave
Located across the road from Devi’s Falls, this revered cave houses a large stalagmite worshipped as a Shiva lingam. The ticket allows visitors to navigate through a tunnel behind the shrine, emerging in a damp cavern next to the roaring waters of Devi’s Falls.
Seti River Gorge - Seti Gorge
The roaring Seti River flows through Pokhara, but it remains hidden unless sought out. The river has carved a deep, narrow gorge through the town, turning the water a milky white.
International Mountain Museum - International Mountain Museum
This extensive museum is dedicated to Nepal’s mountains, the mountaineers who have climbed them, and the people who inhabit the region. Inside, visitors can view original gear from many of the first Himalayan ascents, along with exhibits on the history, culture, geology, and flora and fauna of the Himalayas.
World Peace Pagoda - Drive to the World Peace Pagoda for sunset, then transfer back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Perched on a narrow ridge high above Phewa Tal, the stunning white World Peace Pagoda was built by Buddhist monks from the Japanese Nipponzan Myohoji organization. There are three paths leading to the pagoda and several small cafes upon arrival. Unfortunately, there have been reports of muggings on the trails in the past, so it’s advisable to check the current situation before heading out.
Sarangkot Sunrise and Pokhara to Kathmandu (Private Transfer)
Sarangkot - An early morning wake-up call will be followed by a drive to the Sarangkot viewpoint for a breathtaking sunrise view over the snow-capped mountains. Afterward, guests can enjoy breakfast at the hotel before driving back to Kathmandu.
