Travel to Chitwan by Tourist Bus
Chitwan Tharu Village - Guests will be collected from their hotel by an English-speaking driver, who will have a placard with their name, and transported to the tourist bus park at 6 am in a private vehicle. The journey to Chitwan, Sauraha, is a picturesque 5-hour drive along the Trishuli and Narayani rivers. Upon arrival, guests will be warmly welcomed at the Chitwan Bus Park and taken to their lodge for check-in, followed by a brief orientation about the lodge, its amenities, and the day’s schedule.
At 1 pm, a buffet lunch will be served, followed by some leisure time. At 3 pm, guests will embark on a tour of the Tharu community, where they will gain insights into the local lifestyle and culture.
At 7 pm, guests can choose between enjoying a Tharu cultural dance performance by local villagers, with an option to participate, or attending a slide show presentation about Chitwan. The day will conclude with a buffet dinner at 8 pm.
Chitwan Jungle Activities
Chitwan National Park - The day begins with a wake-up call and morning tea at 6 am, followed by a buffet breakfast at 6:30 am. At 7 am, guests will go bird watching and canoeing along the Rapti river, where they can observe the rare Marsh Mugger and Gharial crocodiles. The return journey includes a walk through the jungle, offering a chance to see various species of flora and fauna.
A buffet lunch will be served at 1 pm. At 3 pm, guests will embark on a jeep safari, providing an excellent opportunity to spot four types of deer, rhinoceroses, wild boars, monkeys, leopards, sloths, and possibly even Bengal tigers. Many other smaller mammals that inhabit Chitwan National Park may also be seen.
Guests will visit the Tharu Cultural Museum. The day will conclude with a buffet dinner at 8 pm.
Return to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus
