Without a doubt, the aspiration of many hikers globally is to trail to the Everest Base Camp at least once in their lifetime. The destination is renowned for its array of frosty peaks and local population known for their warm hospitality.
You can hike in this region throughout the year, though the spring season (March - May) and the fall season (September - November) provide the most favourable weather conditions. The middle of spring is especially picturesque with Rhododendrons in full bloom, lending the landscape an extra touch of vibrant colours.
Our gradual hike through the delightful Sherpa villages enables us to appreciate the expansive wildlife scenery, frequent a number of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, and take snapshots of prayer walls and breathtaking mountain vistas. The hike concludes with a chance to traverse from Lukla to Everest Base Camp, sited at an altitude of 5380m, and the neighbouring peak of Kala Pattar/5545m, offering stunning views of Mount Everest and many other snowcapped peaks ranging from 8000m -6500m. There’s also the Gokyo Lake and 3 lofty passes in this region.
