Must visit in Coorg - This is a coffee aficionado’s pilgrimage. Had one of the best times here with Salim. He is an encyclopaedia of coffee and many other plants. This place shouldn’t be missed in Coorg.

An enlightening coffee tour - Highly recommend a guided tour of this plantation. We booked the tour online and were extremely pleased with the professionalism the team showed us. Our guide, Mr Salim, was a delight! A walking encyclopedia on Botany. We spent about 2 hours walking and discussing different plantations, their histories, and their journeys. Don't miss the fresh filter coffee at the end of the tour.

Something for everyone! Must visit if you are in the area. Worth a 1-2 hour drive easily. - Great patient detail of the plantation side of coffee and spices. It was great for the whole group - from specialty coffee enthusiast to cooking enthusiasts to nature lovers. Best description of history of brew methods with real historical artifacts/examples that I have seen

A Fascinating Coffee & Chocolate Experience in Coorg - We spent a very enjoyable 1½ hours at the Mercera Gold Coffee and Chocolate Tour 500 rupees) and it was one of the highlights of our time in the area. The guided walk through the plantation was both relaxing and informative. We learned in detail about the coffee-making process—from plant to cup—and enjoyed sampling several varieties. After the coffee tour, a kind and knowledgeable gentleman explained how chocolate is made from cacao pods. I had no idea that India even grows chocolate plants, so that was a real surprise! The process from pod to finished chocolate is long and very manual, which gave us a whole new appreciation for what goes into each bar. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and best of all, not pushy at all when it came to purchases. If you’re in Coorg and interested in coffee, chocolate, or simply a pleasant plantation experience, this tour is well worth your time.

Mixed experience - We had shortlisted this plantation visit after lots of research as this was our first visit Coorg/Madikeri. We reached this plantation at around 11 am and bought the tickets and one group was ready to go and we also joined it. The plantation walk was good in little rain though the group size was too big..and it was difficult to hear all what the captain was saying. The captain explained each and every thing in detail about 2 type of coffee grown Arabica and Robista and various spices grown. We saw each plant physically in the plantation and learnt a lot. We also visited the coffee roasting plant and also did coffee tasting. We also visited their in house coffee measuem and chocolate factory which were good. Then we visited their in house shop and bought lots of stuff like different spices, chocolates and instant/filter coffee and home grown wines. The rates were little on higher side with no discounts. Buying 2 wines one coffee flavour and green chilli flavour on their recommendation were really disappointing and we wasted our money on these.Even the bottles were not sealed properly and we faced leakage and damage to our travel bags and clothes. While tasting these wines we were even more disappointed .....upon opening, these were smelling like hell. We had to literally throw them away. Chocolates were just ok but have not opened spices so far. Overall fair experience only even though we have rated 4 star.
