• Alpha Bank - Join the guide at the Alpha Bank (formerly the taxi station) in Pigadia at 8:30 am. This early start helps to avoid the intense summer heat.

This journey takes you just outside Pigadia, along the path to the Agia Kyriaki chapel. As you walk, you’ll pass by old stables and olive groves, with stunning views of the Aegean Sea and the southern villages as you ascend.

The Agia Kyriaki chapel is open for visits and provides a perfect spot for a shaded break. As you continue through the pine forest, you’ll encounter several beautiful vistas of the Eastern coast near Pigadia.

After exiting the pine forest path, you’ll return to Pigadia around 11:30 am.

The guide makes frequent stops for photos, and the walking pace is leisurely. The walk lasts approximately 3.5 hours and is challenging, with steep ascents and descents.

Art and Walk hosts a weekly journey through a woodland track leading to the Church of Agia Kyriaki, positioned with breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. This journey commences from the taxi station in Pigadia, where we ascend a stairway to witness a splendid view of Pigadia. During this journey, you’ll spot an age-old temple, see traditional Greek stables (stavlos), experience the aroma of pine trees and indigenous herbs of Karpathos, peek inside the Church of Agia Kyriaki, and relish the stunning vistas of nearby villages and the sea.
