Clifton Beach - Karachi, once the capital of Pakistan, is located along the Arabian Sea and boasts beautiful sandy beaches. Visitors will explore the renowned Clifton Sea front. Other attractions include the Tomb of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, the culturally rich and historic Saddar Bazaar, Karachi Museum, Mohatta Palace, and Frere Hall.

Lahore Fort - Arrival in Lahore is scheduled for the afternoon, followed by hotel check-in. In the evening, after everyone has refreshed, guests will enjoy a traditional Lahore dinner at an authentic restaurant. Lahore is Pakistan’s second-largest city and the capital of Punjab Province. It is the cultural heart of modern-day Pakistan, with a rich history spanning Jainism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Greek, Muslim, and British influences. Key attractions include Badshahi Mosque, Wazir Khan Mosque, Lahore Fort, Lahore Museum, and the Pakistan-India Border (Wagah Border), where the famous flag ceremony occurs. The Wagah Border is a 1.5-hour drive from Lahore city center. The flag ceremony takes place daily from 4 pm to 5 pm, with weekends being busier. All attractions remain open until 8 pm.

Faisal Mosque - Islamabad is a purpose-built city, established in 1961 as the new capital of Pakistan. It is a lush green city surrounded by the Margalla Hills. The main attractions include Faisal Mosque, Margalla Hills, and the local bazaar, all open seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The Parliament House and other significant buildings can be viewed from the outside. In the morning, visitors will explore Faisal Mosque and local markets, then head to Margalla Hills in the afternoon.
DRIVE TO BESHAM (270 km) 7-HOURS
Karakoram Highway - The journey begins on the Karakoram Highway, with a stop in Taxila to explore its rich culture and history. Taxila is an important archaeological site of ancient India, located about 32 km northwest of Islamabad. The city’s origins date back to around 1000 BCE, with some ruins from the Achaemenid Empire in the 6th century BCE. The route passes through culturally rich towns like Hassan Abdal, Haripur, and Abbottabad before reaching Besham. Several stops will be made for tea breaks. The KKH starts from Hasan Abdal. Besham is a pleasant town with a nice bazaar and good hotels, though it lacks tourist attractions.
DRIVE TO CHILLAS (200 km) 7-HOURS
Karakoram Highway - The road follows the twists and turns of the Indus River. About 190 km after Besham, the road reaches Chillas, an ‘oasis in a desert’ with a unique charm. Here, visitors can enjoy stunning views of three of the world’s highest mountain ranges: the Karakoram in the north, the Himalayas in the east, and the Hindu Kush in the west. Chillas is the gateway to Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the ninth-highest mountain in the world, known as the “Killer Mountain” due to its challenging climbs. Chillas lacks tourist attractions.
DRIVE TO SKARDU (260 km)
Skardu Tour - The road gradually ascends, though the elevation change is subtle until reaching Alam Bridge. Along the KKH, attractions include a beautiful rock carving of Buddha and villages on steep grassy slopes. After a 2-hour drive, the KKH is left behind, and the journey follows the Indus River to Skardu. The area is rich with fruit trees, including apricots, cherries, and apples. Several stops will be made for tea breaks and to purchase fresh fruit from locals.

Upper Kachura Lake - Skardu is the capital of the Baltistan Valley, once one of the oldest Himalayan kingdoms before joining Pakistan. It lies along the Indus River in the heart of the Karakoram mountains, encompassing the northern edge of the Himalayas and nearly the entire Karakoram Range. The Balti people speak an ancient form of Tibetan and have a fascinating culture. After breakfast, visitors will explore Sadpara Lake, enjoy tea, and take in the breathtaking scenery. Lunch will be in Skardu town, followed by a visit to the famous Organic Village, where everything is grown organically. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Karakoram Highway - From Gilgit, the journey continues about 52 km to rejoin the Karakoram Highway. After rejoining the KKH, the route crosses the Gilgit River and enters Hunza Valley, the most beautiful section of the KKH. The area offers fresh, crystalline air and fragrant breezes from poplar trees and orchards of apricots, peaches, pears, and grapes. A tea break will be taken at the famous Rakaposhi Mountain (7,788m) viewpoint.
SIGHTSEEING IN KARIMABAD
Baltit Fort - Karimabad is the capital of the ancient Hunza Valley, offering ample tourist infrastructure with numerous cafes, hotels, motels, guesthouses, and bookshops. In Hunza, a different language is spoken. In Karimabad, visitors will explore the famous Baltit and Altit Forts, the local bazaar, and drive up to Eagle’s Nest. After breakfast, a 15-20 minute walk along the local bazaar leads to the renowned Baltit Fort, founded in the 8th century CE and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once the former seat of the Hunza kingdom, the majestic Baltit Fort offers the best view of the entire Hunza Valley. After visiting Baltit Fort, a 15-minute drive leads to Altit Fort. Jeeps are used to reach the spectacular Eagle’s Nest at 2,850m, surrounded by 7,000m peaks.
DRIVE & BOAT TO GULMIT (45 km)
Attabad Lake - As the journey continues, the Karakoram Highway becomes even more spectacular, riding high on the eastern side of the Hunza River. The drive continues on the KKH to Attabad Lake, created by a massive landslide in January 2010. A 2-hour boat ride crosses the lake, after which the drive continues to Gulmit. Gulmit is a centuries-old historic village surrounded by towering mountain peaks and glaciers. It was the summer capital of the ancient Hunza Valley. Visitors will explore the old Summer Palace of the King of Hunza, located at the northern edge of Gulmit’s historic Polo Ground. Gulmit is a small village, where visitors can explore the local bazaar, village, and old places of worship, now used as libraries, which adorn the Gulmit Valley.
