COLOMBO - KANDY

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a revered Buddhist temple located in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Situated within the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, it houses the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha.

Kandy Lake - Also known as Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk, Kandy Lake is an artificial lake in the heart of Kandy, Sri Lanka. Constructed in 1807 by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, it is adjacent to the Temple of the Tooth. Over time, the lake’s size has been reduced. It is a protected area where fishing is prohibited.

Sita Temple - The Seetha Amman Temple is located about 1 kilometer from Hakgala Botanical Garden and 5 kilometers from Nuwara Eliya, in the village of Seetha Eliya.

Gregory Lake - Gregory Lake was created in 1873 by the British-era Governor Sir William Gregory, initially intended to provide electricity. However, it became a popular spot for leisure and recreation. At its peak, Gregory Lake was the area’s most prominent attraction, offering relaxation to many visitors.

Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple - Built by the Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka, the Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple is located in Ramboda on the Kandy-Nuwara Eliya Road, about 30 kilometers north of Nuwara Eliya on the A-5 route, facing the Kotmale Reservoir. The Chinmaya Mission is a Hindu spiritual organization dedicated to spreading Vedanta, the science of the self as explained in the Vedas, particularly the Upanishads, and other important Hindu scriptures, including the Bhagavad Gita.

Nuwara Eliya - Nuwara Eliya is a city in the tea country hills of central Sri Lanka. The beautifully landscaped Hakgala Botanical Gardens feature roses and tree ferns and are home to monkeys and blue magpies. Nearby, the Seetha Amman Temple, a colorful Hindu temple, is adorned with religious figures.

KANDY-SIGIRIYA

Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - Sigiriya, also known as Sinhagiri, is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near Dambulla in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. The site is of historical and archaeological importance, dominated by a massive rock column nearly 200 meters high.

Dambulla Cave Temple - The Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, located in the central part of the country. Dambulla Dedicated Economic Centre - Located in the Dambulla Secretariat Division of the Matale District, in the center of Dambulla town, this wholesale market for vegetables and fruits was established in 1999. A key feature of the DDEC is the direct participation of farmers in selling their produce.

Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium - The Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium is a 30,000-seat venue in Sri Lanka. Situated in the Central Province near Dambulla, it occupies a 60-acre site leased from the Rangiri Dambulla Temple. It is the first and only international cricket ground in Sri Lanka’s dry zone. The stadium overlooks the Dambulla Tank (reservoir) and the Dambulla Rock.
