Amazing experience - This was my favourite day in Sri Lanka. I would highly recommend to anyone considering. It is a chance to see the nature Kandy has to offer. It offers a Scenic ride through the mountains with Roshan, who was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had as well as teach us so many interesting facts. We saw the rice fields, waterfalls and tea plantations. I would love to do this again.

A real treat of a day - We had a wonderful time with Roshan. He is a lovely kind, intelligent and knowledgeable gentleman. Our highlight was being taken near to the village when Roshan lived before the dreadful typhoon. He took us to the rice fields and explained how the village worked together to cultivate and harvest the rice and showed us them using buffalos to create the fields. We also saw eagles, kites and kingfishers all within 10 minutes. The ride through the tea plantations brought home how hard the local villagers have to work, collecting over 20kgs of tea to earn anything, and the sight of these ladies walking up with full sacks of tea really made an impact.
Roshan is excellent on his knowledge of plants, fruits, herbs and wildlife.
Although i initially thought the cost was high, it was worth every penny just to spend time with Roshan.
The waterfalls are beautiful, we had real fun swimming in one, which is exactly why we booked the day with Roshan.
Roshan's wife provided our lunch which we both thought was delicious, the best food we have had here in Sri Lanka - it felt very special.
The whole day was treat.

Definitely more than a ‘waterfalls trip’ - We had a superb day with Roshan exploring the beautiful landscape near to Kandy. His knowledge of the area, history, wildlife, trees and plants is amazing. The waterfalls were wonderful and the lunch, prepared by his wife, was delicious. The only bad thing was that it had to end! Definitely recommended

To do! - Great tour, great guide, the scenery and waterfalls are beautiful, very haughty, no tourists when I came. Homemade picnic (Rice & curries) is great, and explanations about tea, plants, rice are great

Pleasant hike to rice and tea fields. - Roshan is nice, easy-going guide with elaborate explanations about the nature and local agriculture. We did an alternative activity with a hike of 8km to a beautiful viewpoint. The rice fields and tea fields he took us to are stunningly beautiful. Also the homemade lunch was delicious. Everything went smooth and pleasant.

Our honeymoon highlight!! - An amazing tour of the “Real Sri Lanka” Roshan was the perfect tour guide, expertly navigating the rural roads in his tuk tuk and stopping whenever he saw some fauna or flora that he could passionately describe for us. It was a joy to see the villages and people who live within them way up among the tea plantations, this was the real Sri Lanka that many tourists never get to discover. The waterfalls we visited were all beautiful and completely free of any other tourists. You’d never find these places on your own, and having an expert guide on hand to not only take you there safely, but take amazing photos of you enjoying the experience was perfect. The lunchtime swim was a highlight, only surpassed by the delicious Sri Lankan lunch provided by Roshan’s wife! A truly unforgettable experience.

The best thing we did in Sri Lanka! - If I could give this 10 stars I would. We had the most amazing day with Roshan. He was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and made a great guide. I couldn’t think of a better way to experience some local culture, see the waterfalls and taste some amazing home cooked local food.
Roshan picked us up in his Tuk Tuk from our hotel just outside of Kandy at 8.30am and we drove to his village in the foothills of the mountains. Stops included seeing a local blacksmith and visiting the rice fields and tea plantations as well as other stops for stunning view points and interesting things along the way. He provided snacks and water before taking us on to the waterfalls. The waterfalls were all incredible, and some could only be reached with an experienced guide like Roshan. We were the only people at all of the waterfalls, making it feel extra special. It was a real adventure getting to some of them, which made the views when we got there even better. At the third waterfall we were able to swim in the crystal clear water at the bottom of the waterfall which was an amazing experience. Just as we thought our day couldn’t get any better, Roshan provided us with a delicious home cooked meal made by his wife, which was one of the best things we ate in Sri Lanka. After lunch we saw another two waterfalls which were also stunning. On our journey home Roshan tried to take us to a tea house, which was unfortunately closed so instead took us to a roadside spot for a King Coconut, native to Sri Lanka, and far better than any coconut we’ve had before. He dropped us back at our hotel at 4.30pm. He took pictures and videos throughout the day, and sent them to us the same evening, giving us a great record of our day.
I can’t recommend this experience enough, thanks again to Roshan.

Amazing day in the nature - We had a fantastic tuktuk ride into the forests near Kandy. All the fruits and spices we saw growing in the nature (even if they are planted by the local farmers), all these waterfalls, and the landscape itself just wonderful. Roshan is funny and perfect guide to visit this region and we highly recommend him. He is a very gentle person and made an extra curve into Kandy (thank you for the Thipilli and Kottucola). 😊
We had a wonderful day and we loved it. The tour is the real must-see in Kandy!
