• Ella Train Trips - The Ella Train Journey is renowned as one of the most stunning train rides globally. Currently, due to track maintenance, the train departs from Ambewela station, which is conveniently located near Nuwara Eliya.

The journey offers breathtaking, lush green landscapes from start to finish. The train traverses through hilly regions, tea plantations, over rivers, and past waterfalls. It operates daily, providing tickets from Ambewela to Ella with reserved seating (seat numbers are printed on the tickets).

Tickets are available for either 2nd or 3rd class reserved coaches, depending on availability. There is minimal difference between the two classes, as both feature windows that can be opened to fully appreciate the scenic views. Only passengers with reserved seats are permitted to travel on this train, ensuring it remains uncrowded, unlike ordinary coaches with unreserved seating.

There are two trains available each day:

• 12:40 PM
• 2:30 PM

Travelers can select their preferred time from the options above, and the team strives to meet their preferences. Any changes will be communicated in advance.

There is no need for a printed ticket, as e-tickets will be sent via WhatsApp or email. Please ensure to provide your contact number during reservation, or alternatively, send a message to the contact number provided.
