Zakynthos is a wonderful island rich in history and culture. On the journey to the mountains, visitors will stop at an olive factory to observe the production of the renowned Zakynthian olive oil during the winter months. Heading northwest, the tour continues to the village of Kampi, offering breathtaking views over the cliffs and the expansive Ionian Sea. The following destination is the caves, where guests have the option to embark on a boat trip to explore them. Those who prefer not to venture out on the boats can relax on the shore or enjoy a quick swim. (Please note, there is an additional charge per person for the boat trip.) The tour then proceeds to Anafonitria, where the famous monastery of St. Dennis is located. It’s noteworthy that the monastery has recently undergone renovations, revealing 15th-century frescoes. Finally, visitors can enjoy stunning views overlooking Zakynthos town from Bochali, where the remnants of the old Venetian castle can be found.
