Airport Pickup and Hotel Transfer upon Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary - Meet with Kent Safaris’ dedicated team before heading to the pre-booked hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala for your first night’s stay. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a city tour if you arrive during the day, or relax in anticipation of the upcoming safari road trip. Destinations include Ngamba Island and the Chimpanzee Orphanage Sanctuary, where you can interact with chimpanzees and learn about their social lives through trekking.

Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre - Travelers can observe a variety of conserved wildlife species, including wild cats, reptiles, monkeys, and birds. If time permits, enjoy the beach life and explore the beaches around Entebbe.

Kampala - Explore Kampala City, surrounded by seven hills, and visit attractions such as the Kasubi Tombs, Uganda Museum, and Namugongo Shrine.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Rhino Fund Uganda - After an early breakfast, the driver/guide will assist with packing for the first road trip to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Experience White Rhino trekking and Shoe-bill stork bird trekking. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is a wildlife orphanage and the only place in Uganda where tourists can trek and observe these magnificent creatures. Activities include canoeing, birdwatching, nature walks, and Shoe-bill stork tracking.

Transfer to Gulu Town

Gulu - Enjoy a smooth journey on a tarmacked road from Nakasongola (Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary) to Gulu town, where you will stay overnight before continuing the road trip to Kidepo the next day. Activities include exploring Gulu market and town tours, as well as cultural and traditional entertainment.

Gulu to Kidepo Valley National Park

Kidepo Valley National Park - Start the day with breakfast before embarking on the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. The estimated 4-hour road trip offers scenic views of small thatched houses and hills separating Karamoja from Acholi land. Crossing the seasonal river is a highlight, arriving in time for lunch before an evening game drive in Narus Valley, known for having the largest herds of buffaloes in the world and opportunities to spot big cats and possibly a cheetah.

Game and Hot Springs Adventure

Kidepo Valley National Park - After breakfast, revisit Narus Valley for another game drive to catch any missed sights. Return to the lodge for lunch and a break before heading to Kidepo Valley to visit the hot springs and encounter numerous bird species, including the flightless ostrich, unique to the area. Return to the lodge for dinner in the evening.

Transfer to Sipi Falls

Sipi Falls - Depart Kidepo Valley National Park early after breakfast, traveling via Moroto to visit the stunning Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa. This full-day road trip concludes with a late afternoon check-in at the lodge and dinner.

Sipi Falls Adventure

Sipi Falls - After an early breakfast, head to the Sipi Falls offices to meet a guide for adventurous activities such as hiking, abseiling, and exploring coffee farms and processing. Depending on physical fitness, hike all three falls that comprise Sipi Falls, then return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer Back to Kampala

Jinja - After breakfast, pack belongings and check out of Sipi Falls to begin the journey back to Kampala, where the safari holiday began. Enjoy a lunch break in Jinja town and visit the source of the mighty River Nile, time permitting. If the return flight is on the same day, the stop in Jinja may be skipped to proceed directly to Entebbe Airport or Kampala.
